Creative Assembly has revealed that they are flowing up the release of Total War: Rome II with Total War: Attila in 2015. As with the original Rome’s expansion Barbarian Invasion, Attila will move the timeline along to the beginning of the Dark Ages. Players will get the chance to lead a struggling empire against migrating barbarians fighting to settle on imperial lands while battling usurpers, staving off diseases, and attempting to maintain a treasury heavily depleted after the empire split between east and west. Attila will see the return of family trees and skill trees as well as new mechanics, such as settlement destruction, civilians present during town battles, and dynamic fire that can spread during city assaults. Unfortunately, a full list of playable factions was not released.

Total War: Attila is scheduled to launch in 2015 for Mac and Windows PC.
