Some of the upgrades include enhanced texture quality, photorealistic lighting system, more realistic physically based shading, added HBAO and motion blur effects, and updated models. The interface is also being updated to be uniform across the included titles. The PS4 version of Dead Island Definitive Collection will support four-player co-op, PS Vita Remote Play, Share Play, streaming, and recording, and is now up for pre-order. Early buyers will receive a system theme.

The zombie-heavy action-platformer is scheduled to launch on June 21 for $19.99, and for its PlayStation debut, developers Tequila Works and Abstraction Games are adding the new Survival Arena mode. Additional updates will include improved controls, extra animations, and support for 1080p. Daybreak Games has split their open-world zombie-themed survival title H1Z1 into two titles, H1Z1: King of the Kill and H1Z1: Just Survive. Both titles exist within the same universe but are being developed by different teams who are working towards separate content milestones. H1Z1: King of the Kill is an online shooter set in large arenas where players battle to be the last one standing across several modes, including Battle Royale. King of the Hill is set to launch this summer for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. H1Z1: Just Survive is based on the original concept of players scavenging for items, crafting gear, and building makeshift shelters while battling zombies and one another. Just Survive will be in Early Access for the rest of the year.
GOG.com has kicked off a new curated pre-order program, similar to Steam Early Access and Xbox’s Game Program, called Games in Development. They will be offering select, in-development titles that they deem promising. The titles will come with a 14-day refund, be DRM-free, and implement GOG Galaxy’s rollback feature. Five titles have been chosen to begin the program and discounted up to 40% off: Ashes of the Singularity, Curious Expeditions, Project Zomboid, Starbound, and TerraTech. The discounts will end on February 2.
Mighty Rabbit and Gun Media’s top-down tactical shooter Breach & Clear: Deadline has launched on Steam. As squad leader, players must lead their soldiers through Harbor City to discover the source causing the dead to reanimate. The game has been available in an early form for some time, but today it leaves Early Access for its official launch. Its time in Early Access allowed for more than just bug fixes and gameplay adjustments, though, as fan feedback led to the creation of a new co-op mode for the release version.
Breach & Clear: Deadline has been given the all-clear to leave Steam Early Access and launch in full on July 21. The zombie-infest tactical top-down shooter, co-developed by Mighty Rabbit and Gun Media, tasks players with leading their squad through Harbor City in the midst of a zombie outbreak. As a result of feedback during Early Access, a new co-op mode has been developed and will be available in the final version.

Other added content includes a new mission type, requiring players to clear out hordes that gather around supply crates; an SUV along with 25-plus new vehicle skins; 30 minutes of new music; the ability to use Lifeline’s characters in Breakdown; Lifeline’s community upgrades in all versions; and an under-barrel grenade launcher and incendiary ammo.

Soldak has released the first set of screenshots from their upcoming open-world role-playing game Zombasite. The shots are from an early build but give a look at the dynamic world that’s currently in development, featuring some of the environments and factions that remain after an infection has caused the dead to rise.
