Saints Row IV pre-order Commander in Chief Edition announced
Deep Silver will be upgrading all pre-orders of Saints Row IV to the Commander in Chief Edition. The next entry in the series will put players in the shoes of the President of the United States during an alien invasion, and the bonuses will help even the odds. The upgrade includes the Screaming Eagle, a weapon that fires rockets and stuns enemies with a Sonic Scream attack, an Uncle Sam uniform, and the all-purpose, American Army Knife-styled ‘Merica weapon.

Call of Juarez: Gunslinger launching online for consoles, PC on May 22
Ubisoft has announced that gamers will be able to hit the dusty trails on May 22 when Call of Juarez Gunslinger launches for consoles and PC. The download-only release follows bounty hunter Silas Greaves tracking down, dueling, and leveling up against the worst of the worst in homage to the era’s dime novels, notorious for mixing fact and fiction.

Bethesda announces Tango Gameworks’ Zwei is The Evil Within
Bethesda has revealed that “Zwei”, the survival horror title announced last year from Tango Gameworks, the studio founded by Resident Evil creator Shinji Mikami, is The Evil Within. Slated for a 2014 release, The Evil Within will be available for 360, PC, PS3, and next-generation consoles. IGN was privy to the reveal trailer.

Deadpool pre-order bonuses announced, new screens released
Deadpool loves two things: killing people for money, and added value. That might explain why—well, the last bit anyway—Activision has announced a slew of pre-order bonuses for High Moon Studios’ Deadpool. The upcoming action title based on Marvel’s mouthy merc will hit store shelves this June, but before then, gamers can get a handful of extras from Amazon and EBGames/GameStop. The bonuses, detailed below in Deadpool-speak, include desktop wallpapers, a map pack, and credit towards the purchase of select Marvel graphic novels.

Soulcalibur V to launch on Games on Demand, PS Store next week
Namco Bandai’s enduring weapon-based fighting series Soulcalibur is returning to Live Games on Demand and debuting on PS Store next week with its latest entry, Soulcalibur V. Set 17 years after its predecessor, the Project Soul-developed release features the series’ traditional 8-way run system, online play, and a roster of over two dozen characters including a special entrant courtesy of Ubisoft, Ezio Auditore from Assassin’s Creed.

Spiders’ Jehanne Rousseau details upcoming RPG Mars War Logs
Spiders has released a new video explaining the ins and outs of their upcoming sci-fi-themed role-playing game Mars War Logs. The studio has been releasing media at a trickle, and save for a revamped website, has been pretty low key as to what all players can expect when the game launches this summer. The nearly three-minute video, narrated by Spiders CEO Jehanne Rousseau, covers a little bit of everything, including the game’s origins, story, mechanics, and emphasis on consequences.

Sacred Citadel launches for 360, PC, and PS3
Sacred Citadel, a new side-scrolling brawler set in the Sacred universe, is now available for 360, PC, and PS3. The primarily action-RPG series is branching out with this arcade-style beat ‘em up from Southend Interactive, which features fives characters—a mage, ranger, shaman, and warrior—battling it out using a combo-based combat system and leveling via RPG-style mechanics. Four-player multiplayer, complete with drop-in/drop-out co-op, is also supported in all versions.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II – Uprising DLC pack now on Live for 360
Uprising is now available on Live Marketplace for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. The latest DLC pack, set to launch later for PC and PS3, includes four new multiplayer maps and the new star-studded Zombies mode Mob of the Dead. The maps—Encore, Magma, Studio, and Vertigo—are set in a live volcano in Japan, deserted London music festival, and futuristic skyscraper in India, while Studio is a remake of Black Ops’ Firing Range. Mob of the Dead features Ray Liotta as Billy Handsome, Chazz Palminteri as Salvatore “Sal” DeLuca, Joe Pantoliano as Al “The Weasel” Arlington, and Michael Madsen as Michael “Finn” O’Leary as inmates in Alcatraz Prison during an undead outbreak.
