Dying Light trailer showcases Be the Zombie pre-order DLC

Techland has released a new trailer to show off its asymmetric multiplayer mode, Be the Zombie, in their upcoming open-world, zombie-themed action title Dying Light. The new video, Be the Zombie, gives an idea as what players can expect when their multiplayer game is invaded by another player in the form of a Night Hunter zombie. Invasions will take part in all versions of the game, but to be the Night Hunter and invade other worlds, players will have to pre-order the game to access the Be the Zombie mode.

Last Team Standing update now live for Grand Theft Auto Online

Rockstar has released another substantial update for GTA Online, Last Steam Standing. The download adds two new weapons, a heavy shotgun and marksman rifle; 30-plus themed clothing items; vehicles, including a sport bike and chopper; Creator features, and numerous gameplay tweaks, such mini-map icons indicating when players are in vehicles. Ten new Last Team Standing Jobs have also been added, scattered across Blaine County and Los Santos. The update now allows for a Forced Weapon setting to be engage, and for creators to add rounds to Captures and Last Team Standing Jobs as well as to Rockstar-created Last Team Standing, Captures, and Versus missions. Forza Horizon 2 pulls into stores, on Live for Xbox 360 and Xbox One

It’s time to hit the open road again with the release of Forza Horizon 2 for 360 and Xbox One. Set in southern Europe, players will be able to get behind the wheel of over 200 cars to participate in a variety of events that can be joined as they cruise around the countryside. Forza Hub, a new app for Xbox One, has also launched in support for all Forza titles. The download will provide community announcements, news, access to events, and a way keep up with and redeem the monthly Forza Rewards.

Persona 4 Arena Ultimax now in stores, online for 360 and PS3

The Persona 3 and 4 crews are once again coming to blows with their evil doppelgangers today with the release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax. The Arc System Works co-developed fighter takes place shortly after the events in Persona 4 Arena, but now even more characters are getting involved. For those who have the original, Atlus notes that all DLC purchased for Area should transfer over to Ultimax. It was also noted that, while the game does support region-free netplay, it does not support cross-platform play. Downloadable characters Adachu and Marie are also available today, and as a launch bonus, they are free to download for the next week.

The Evil Within has gone gold, and to get survival-horror aficionados properly prepared, Bethesda has released new gameplay footage. The trailer is the first in the new Every Last Bullet series, offering a ‘survival 101’ lesson for those looking to assist Detective Castellanos in his battle against strange monsters in a nightmarish world. Atlus has revealed the pricing for Persona 4 Arena Ultimax’s upcoming downloadable content packs as well as released a new unboxing video. A new addition is the Velvet Room’s ever-fashionable Margaret, who will be released on October 7 for $4.99. That also happens to be the day when Adachi and Marie will transition from free to for-pay DLC, each also for $4.99. Other packs include the complete Persona 4 Arena Story for $9.99, Glasses Packs and Additional Color Packs for $1.99 each or as a $5.99 sets, and Navigator Voices at $2.99 apiece. At launch, Adachi, Aigis, Mitsuru, Nanako, Teddie, and Yosuke will all have voice packs available; all other voice packs will launch on October 7.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare co-op mode debuted in new trailer

A new trailer has been released for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. Titled Power Changes Everything, the nearly three-minute-long video features the debut of the game’s four-player co-op mode, Exo Survival. The sci-fi-heavy action has infantry donning exo suits, cloaking, launching spiked grenades into faces, and using deployable zip lines to grab enemies.

Dark Souls II: Crown of the Ivory King, the final release in the downloadable The Lost Crowns Trilogy, has been officially date for September 30. As with the first two entries, Crown of the Sunken King and Crown of the Old Iron King, the pack will add new environments, enemies, traps, and bosses. After this final journey, those who’ve braved the post-release adventure will claim possession of all the crowns once owned by King Vendrick.

Alien: Isolation’s Survivor Mode now official, DLC packs announced

Sega has officially announced Alien: Isolation’s Survivor Mode, which was debuted earlier this year at E3. As a terrified survivor on board the Sevastopol Station, players must make use of limited resources in order to avoid detection by a lone Xenomorph while also completing a series of objectives. The game will ship with one map, Basement, but more will be available as downloadable content beginning on October 28. Basement will include three new maps as well as a new playable character. Five add-on packs in total will be released by March, each featuring a new playable character, different enemies to avoid, and new maps. A Season Pass is now available for all packs, offering a savings of 25%.
