A few new environmental screenshots have been released from Dragon Age: Inquisition. The images showcase the Western Approach, which includes the increasingly untenable Fortress of Adamant in what is now a wasteland. The official blog has been updated with more information on the fortress and its uncertain future as well as on what’s become of the Grey Wardens and the Darkspawn.

Halo 5: Guardians slated to hit Xbox One in 2015

343 Industries has announced that they are currently developing the fifth entry in the main Halo line, Guardians. Currently scheduled to ship in fall 2015, 343 explained that the extended development cycle is because a “game that runs at 60 frames per second, on dedicated servers, with the scope, features and scale we’ve been dreaming of for more than a decade, is non-trivial.” The studio also noted that Guardians will be larger than Halo 4, in terms of “content and scope” and tech, namely “a brand new and more powerful engine.”

Wolfenstein: The New Order launch trailer released, mind the gunfire

With less than a week to go until release, B.J. Blazkowicz is back in one last video outing for Wolfenstein: The New Order. The launch trailer, House of the Rising Sun, features Blazkowicz alongside resistance fighters battling the occupying Nazi forces. After a live-action intro of a peaceful protest being crushed, B.J. and company compare war wounds before some of the Third Reich’s stranger creatures appear (and are promptly blown away). On top of the destruction, you also get to enjoy a German-language version of House of the Rising Sun.

Titanfall: Expedition set to deploy for PC, Xbox One on May 15

Titanfall: Expedition, the first of three DLC packs scheduled for Respawn’s mech-infused shooter, is scheduled to launch on May 15, according to publisher EA. The pack, which is slated to launch simultaneously for PC and Xbox One, will include three new maps for Frontier: Runoff, Swampland, and War Games. Xbox 360 gamers will be able to access the pack later next month.

PS4, Xbox One versions of The Elder Scrolls Online delayed

Bethesda has released an update on the progress of the console versions of The Elder Scrolls Online. The statement, posted below, notes that there have been unforeseen challenges in developing the PS4 and Xbox One versions due to how different they are from the already available Mac and Windows PC versions as well as each other, and that overcoming these problems will require an additional six months. The studio is also offering owners of the Mac and Windows versions the chance to transfer their characters over to their preferred console version upon release and to buy a full digital version of the PS4 or Xbox One version, along with an additional 30 days of play time, for $20.

Techland delays Dying Light, rescheduled to launch early 2015

Dead Island and Call of Juarez developer Techland has released a statement announcing that they have pushed back their open-world survival title Dying Light to next February. The title is currently scheduled to come out for five systems, and the release notes that the extra time will mean that they “won’t need to make compromises or trade-offs on any of the five platforms.” The full statement is available below.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare revealed in new trailer, screenshots

Activision has released a new trailer revealing the next entry in the Call of Duty franchise, Advanced Warfare. Kevin Spacey makes his series debut in the teaser, lecturing adherents on the iron fist he intends on wielding to sway the people. The sci-fi leanings of the previous entries are brought to the fore with the appearance of combat suits and futuristic aircraft.

Ubisoft has launched their download-only role-playing game Child of Light. A reimagining of fairytales styled after classic watercolor art, Child of Light is Ubisoft Montreal’s take on traditional Japanese RPGs, with players taking on the role of the young princess Aurora in her quest to win back the heavens from the Queen of Night. In a twist on the formula, platforming has been added alongside a traditional turn-based combat system.
