Fallout 4’s final add-on, Nuka-World, received its first gameplay trailer today. The footage offers an overview of the sixth expansion’s additions and setting, a dilapidated amusement park that doubles as a base for Raiders. The makeshift city has several themed areas, including Safari Adventure, Kiddie Kingdom, and Galactic Zone. Players can use the park as their own base to lead Raiders on missions to conquer surrounding settlements. Also featured are some of the new creatures, enemies, and weapons.

Final Fantasy XV release bumped back from September to November

Square Enix has pushed back the release of Final Fantasy XV to November 29. The extra time will be used to “allow the development teams time to further polish and conduct quality testing so that the reality of the game can match the expectations of both the fans and the creative teams.” A video from the game’s director, Hajime Tabata, has been released and posted below, which was made available alongside a statement. In part, he comments that he wishes “to personally apologize for the additional wait. As a team, we want Final Fantasy XV to achieve a level of perfection that our fans deserve. We kindly ask for your understanding.” Additionally, the physical versions of Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy’s and Brotherhood Final Fantasy XV’s release dates might change, while the digital release of Kingsglaive remains August 30.

Nordic Games now THQ Nordic, several THQ projects in the works

After eight years, Nordic Games has decided to take full advantage of their 2013 asset acquisition of THQ and reincorporate themselves as THQ Nordic. The change comes as the company looks to enter their next phase and fully embrace their IPs, as they seek to “align them with the very best development resources to expand upon them with the level of experience that communities and established fan bases expect and deserve.” The studio currently has 23 ongoing projects, 13 of which have not been revealed publicly. According to the release, the majority of those that haven’t been announced are based on THQ properties. It seems as though Darksiders II will be getting plenty of company.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Descent has launched for PC and Xbox One. The pack includes four new multiplayer maps, which are detailed below and include a remake of Black Ops II’s Raid. The drop also comes with the next entry in the Zombies’ Origins series, Gorod Krovi. The latest installment of the horror-themed spin-off is set in an alternate past where players must face mechanized zombies and dragons while battling their way through Stalingrad.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting the ‘game of the year’ treatment—and soon. CD Projekt Red has announced that Geralt is going all-in on August 30 with a Wild Hunt complete set that includes the original game, Hearts of Stone, Blood and Wine, and all minor downloadable packs. Sure it’s been out for over a year, but what do formalities matter when we’re talking about a hundred-plus hours of slaying monsters and tackling top-notch, well-written quests.

343 Industries releases letter on development plans for Halo Wars 2

343 Industries held an open beta this past June for their upcoming real-time strategy title Halo Wars 2. Today, the studio released a letter detailing what was learned from the feedback sent in during and after the period, and their plans on how they will address several of the reoccurring issues. CD Projekt has pushed back the closed beta for the upcoming free-to-play Witcher 3 card-based spin-off Gwent: The Witcher Card Game. Capcom is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Dead Rising by looking back to its past. Beginning on September 13, Dead Rising, Dead Rising 2, and Dead Rising 2: Off the Record will launch digitally for Xbox One and, in their PlayStation debut, PS4. Not just that, but Dead Rising and Dead Rising 2 will also get physical releases for console, while the original will be available on Steam for PC.
