Halo 5 Guardians (Xbox One) Warzone Firefight Launch Announcement - Screenshot 1

Halo 5: Guardians will be receiving free additional content next Wednesday in a new update, Warzone Firefight. The eighth expansion will add the new game mode, and update namesake, Warzone Firefight. After some time in beta, the final version of the mode will have a gradually increasing difficulty level, along with new bosses and REQs. The REQs will offer new vehicles, armors, and weapons (UNSC VTOL, AV-49 Wasp, etc.). These will be accessible in Forge as well, which is also getting a new canvas, the ocean-themed Tidal. Multiplayer will be expanded with three new maps: Attack on Sanctum, Prospect, and Molten. The campaign isn’t being left out, either, as it will get Score Attack. As in previous titles, Score Attack allows players to compete with one another for the highest score, solo or in co-op, with points determined by how stylishly enemies are defeated. 343 is planning on showing everyone the ropes with a Firefight pre-release livestream at the official Twitch channel on June 28, 4 p.m. (CST).
