Bethesda summons the Nazi hordes for Wolfenstein: The New Order
id’s seminal shooter series Wolfenstein will be returning to consoles and PCs later this year with Wolfenstein: The New Order. The Texas-based studio isn’t helming this latest outing, however. Instead, development duties are being handled by Sweden’s MachineGames, whose founders include members of the Chronicles of Riddick and The Darkness teams from Starbreeze Studios. Unlike previous Wolfenstein titles, The New Order isn’t a continuation of B.J. Blazkowicz’s storyline but a reimagining of the franchise itself.

QuakeCon 2011 Steam and App Store sales kick off
Some celebratory QuakeCon 2011 sales have hit Steam and the Apple App store today, with discounts on both id and Bethesda titles. In addition to Steam’s offerings, with the full list found here, including a daily deal featuring a Doom & Quake Complete Pack with Quake IV, many of id’s mobile titles are also on sale.
