Former NIS America staff form new publisher, acttil
Three NIS America alumni have formed a new publishing company, acttil. The studio, founded by Jack Niida, Hiroko Kanazashi, and Nao Miyazawa, will offer an array of services to both established and indie studios, including localization, package and advertisement design, editing, monetization strategy development, and sales plan development. At the moment, acttil plans to deliver titles for PC, current and next-gen consoles, mobile platforms, the web, and eReaders.

Transformers Prime now available for 3DS, DS, and Wii
Transformers fans looking for a new adventure after Fall of Cybertron will be able to explore a new part of the universe today with the launch of Transformers Prime. Based off the television show, Prime is available only on Nintendo consoles and features Optimus Prime and his fellow Autobots in a battle against Megatron and the Decepticons for control of Thunderwing. Battles take place in robot form and alt mode with melee combat and driving sequences.

The Last Story sets out on grand adventure to the lands of retailia
XSeed is seeing Wii owners off on one more quest before the release of the Wii U with the launch of their latest RPG, The Last Story. Co-developed by Mistwalker and Nintendo, the action-centric adventure follows a band of mercenaries making their way on the island of Lazulis, and on the aspirations of protagonist Zael in leaving his old rough-and-tumble life behind in the hopes of becoming a knight.

The Amazing Spider-Man slings onto store shelves
Beenox is following up last year’s Spider-Man: Edge of Time today with The Amazing Spider-Man. Serving as an epilog to the upcoming film, the Seamus Fahey-penned story follows the webcrawler’s exploits after the films ends as he faces off against Scorpion, Rhino, Black Cat, and other famous reimagined villains. Open-world gameplay and Bruce Campbell return to the series, while new powers, including Web Rush, are introduced into the universe.

E3 2012 – Atlus: Zeno Clash 2, Sherlock Holmes, Code of Princess
Atlus has announced that they have acquired the North American publishing rights to Zeno Clash II and The Testament of Sherlock Holmes. They also revealed additional details about their upcoming 3DS side-scrolling beat ‘em up, with a slight RPG twist, Code of Princess.

Lego The Lord of the Rings treking to Mount Retail later this year
You shall pass! Warner Bros. has announced TT Games’ next Lego adventure, Lego The Lord of the Rings. Based on the film trilogy, Lord of the Rings is scheduled to ship this fall for the 360, 3DS, DS, PC, PS3, PS Vita, and Wii. The family-friendly quest will task gamers with solving riddles and battling blocky foes on their way to Mount Doom. Players will get to travel through the Misty Mountains, Mines of Moria, encountering Orcs, Uruk-hai, and the Balrog.

Battleship hits store shelves – aliens beware!
It’s time to man the guns and face the alien hordes. The game adaptation of the movie adaptation of the boardgame Battleship has set sail for 360, 3DS, DS, PS3, and Wii. Players get to lead a fleet against an alien threat using a hybrid system of strategy and first-person action as they battle their way out of a dome surrounding the Hawaiian Islands. Fleets comprised of destroyers, carriers, and even the U.S.S. Missouri must face off against aliens on land, in sea, and in the air.

Transformers Prime announced for Nintendo platforms
Activision has announced a new Transformers title for the 3DS, DS, and Wii, based on the ongoing Transformers Prime animated series. Titled Transformers Prime, the game will give gamers the chance to play as Optimus Prime, Bumblebee, Arcee, Autobot Ratchet, and Bulkhead in melee-based combat and driving sequences as they battle the Decepticons for control over a secret weapon.

Rayman Origins dives, jumps, hairlycopters onto store shelves
Platforming fans get a chance to jump into the shoes of Michel Ancel’s endearing limbless hero again today with the release of Rayman Origins. The 2D side-scroller features four-player co-op play with jump in/out support, with friends controlling Globox and Teensies to help out, over 100 characters, 12 environments, and more than 60 levels. Players will get to learn about Rayman’s past as they unlock new abilities and piece together the Glade’s history.
