Resident Evil Revelations to be available in stores, online tomorrow
The console re-release of Resident Evil Revelations has shipped to retail and will be in stores tomorrow. In addition to physical copies being available for 360, PC, PS3, and Wii U, Revelations will also be available online on eShop, PSN, and Steam, and in the near future on Live Games on Demand. Set between Resident Evil 4 and 5, Revelations follows Jill and Chris, along with other members of the BSAA, as they investigate the T-Abyss virus and the events surrounding the destruction of Terragrigia. The new version features updated visuals, the new Infernal Mode difficulty level, the new Wall Blister enemy, and new weapons and skills for Raid Mode.

New Splinter Cell Blacklist co-op mode trailer, screenshots released
Ubisoft has revealed more of Splinter Cell Blacklist’s co-op multiplayer with a new trailer and batch of screenshots. Fisher will be assisted by a handful of allies in his missions, who will provide intel and assign tasks that can be completed to earn a special currency that unlocks access to new weapons and gear. One of the agents, Isaac Briggs, who is also featured in the trailer, will join in whenever another player wants to lend a hand. The Strategic Mission Interface, a new addition to the series, will be used to link single-player and co-op play.

Watch Dogs shows off rides, guns, and gadgets in new screenshots
Ubisoft has released new shots from their upcoming action title Watch Dogs. The screens feature vigilante Aiden Pearce meeting up with a mysterious ally, Clara Lillie, fleeing on a motorcycle, spotting potential targets, and threatening an unfortunate fellow.

Resident Evil Revelations Wii U trailer released, contest announced
Capcom has released a new trailer for the Wii U version of the upcoming 3DS re-release Resident Evil Revelations. The new footage showcases how the system’s gamepad will be used throughout the game as players investigate the abandoned SS Queen Zenobia. A contest was also announced where players can search for the ship at the official website, using the in-game scanner to track down the vessel for a chance to win prizes.

Former NIS America staff form new publisher, acttil
Three NIS America alumni have formed a new publishing company, acttil. The studio, founded by Jack Niida, Hiroko Kanazashi, and Nao Miyazawa, will offer an array of services to both established and indie studios, including localization, package and advertisement design, editing, monetization strategy development, and sales plan development. At the moment, acttil plans to deliver titles for PC, current and next-gen consoles, mobile platforms, the web, and eReaders.

Watch_Dogs to launch in November, gameplay trailer released
Ubisoft has revealed that their upcoming open-world action title Watch_Dogs will be released on November 19 for 360, PC, PS3, and Wii U. The PS4 version will be available at the system’s launch, and versions for other next-gen consoles are also planned. To kick off the announcement, a new gameplay trailer has been released that features protagonist Aiden Pearce in a heretofore unseen district of Chicago. Lastly, the studio also revealed a poster, posted below, with art from Alex Ross that is being given away as a pre-order bonus.

Resident Evil Revelations demo coming soon, dev diary launches
A demo for the enhanced re-release of Resident Evil Revelations will be available shortly, according to Capcom. The demo, which will launch on eShop, Live, PSN, and Steam, will feature Jill Valentine on a breach-and-rescue mission aboard the Queen Zenobia. Players will have to battle mutants and navigate the labyrinthine ship as they track down Jessica Sherawat and Chris Redfield. The first in a new weekly series of video developer diaries also launched today, with the inaugural episode focusing on the design team’s inspirations.

Nordic Games acquires Darksiders, Red Faction, Titan Quest, more
Nordic Games snatched up some properties from the recent THQ auction. The Painkiller HD publisher acquired 150-plus SKUs for 4.9 million across all major consoles and PC. Darksiders, Frontlines, Full Spectrum Warrior, Juiced, MX vs. ATV, Red Faction, Stuntman, Supreme Commander, and Titan Quest are slated to join the JoWood and Dreamcatcher IPs already in Nordic’s stable. Don’t expect any major moves just yet, as Lars Wingefors, owner and CEO of Nordic Games, stated that they will not “dash into several self-financed multi-million dollar projects right away, but rather to continue our in-depth analysis of all titles” in regards to how to approach new installments from the acquired IPs.

Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist announced for Wii U
Sam Fisher will be making his Wii U debut this August in Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist. Ubisoft has revealed that the revamped version will utilize the GamePad for interacting with the environment, using items, executing Killing in Motion moves, and managing the inventory.
