Watch Dogs 2 launches online for Windows PC


Ubisoft has released the PC version of Watch Dogs 2. The computer version features a few system-specific extras, including support for 4K, ultra textures, multi-monitor support, uncapped FPS, three save slots, and the ability to add extra details. The minimum and recommended specs can be found below. As tech pro Marcus Holloway, players must clear their name after being framed for a crime by the predictive program ctOS 2.0. In doing so, they will uncover a city-wide conspiracy that causes them to link up with the hacktivist group DedSec. The group will take on the city’s security forces by hacking the local infrastructure and taking down gunmen by using stealth or force.

Ubisoft’s hacking-heavy open-world action title Watch Dogs 2 is now available for PS4 and Xbox One. PC gamers will have to wait a little longer until it’s released for Windows on November 29. Players take on the role of young tech wizard Marcus Holloway after he has been framed for a crime by the predictive program ctOS 2.0. In clearing his name, Marcus uncovers a city-wide conspiracy, which causes him to help the hacktivist group DedSec. The group will combat security forces by hacking the city’s infrastructure and using their skills to complete missions using stealth or force.

Watch Dogs 2 launch trailer gets with the hacking and mayhem


Marcus and DeadSec set out to take down the system with the release of Watch Dogs 2’s launch trailer. After being labeled as a criminal by the authorities, Marcus uncovers a propaganda campaign to trick the public as corrupt corporations take hold of the city. The video features some of the combos possible when players mix hacking with driving and shooting, as well as the group’s struggle to get the citizens on their side.

When they cross paths, Dedsec is in the process of attempting to stop the machinations of Blume CTO, Dusan Nemec. As he continues to accumulate more power, Dedsec is working to return power to the people.

Ubisoft has released a new gameplay video for Watch Dogs 2. The walkthrough video runs over 19 minutes long and debuts the sequel’s single-player free-roam gameplay, with protagonist Marcus wandering around the San Francisco Bay Area. He visits a few notable locations, including Coit Tower and Fisherman’s Wharf. Also highlighted are some of the revamped hacking and driving mechanics, as are drones, customization options, and multiplayer.

Wii U owners will be able to hack their way around Chicago—and into some explosive chaos—this November in Watch Dogs. Beginning on November 18, gamers will get the chance to don their GamePads in a quest for revenge as hacker turned vigilante Aiden Pearce. The Wii U version will support Off-TV Play, allowing for gaming sessions to move between TV and GamePad, and add an interactive map of the city on the GamePad whenever played on a TV.

A new story-based download pack for Watch Dogs, Bad Blood, will be going live on September 23 for season pass holders and September 30 for everyone else. The new campaign will follow the hacker T-Bone in 10 new missions set throughout the city in new locations. After receiving a call to help a former co-worker, Tobias Frewer, T-Bone delays dropping off the grid to lend a hand, only to discover that his friend might be setting him up. The pack also adds Street Sweep contracts, “a dynamic new system of side missions” that are playable in co-op with friends or public sessions; a remote-controlled car dubbed Eugene; and new outfits, perks, and weapons.

A day after its release, Ubisoft has announced that Watch Dogs has sold more copies in its first 24 hours than any other title they’ve shipped to date. No actual figures were listed, but previously, Assassin’s Creed III was Ubisoft’s fastest-selling game at 3.5 million units in its first week. Connor and friends can still be proud, though, as Assassin’s Creed III still holds the studio’s record of most-pre-ordered game, followed by Watch Dogs.

The new open-world hacking-slash-action thriller Watch Dogs is now available for 360, PC, PS3, PS4, and Xbox One. As Aiden Pearce, players are on a quest of revenge to track down the murderers that killed his family. He’ll steal cars, get in shootouts, and hack into the city’s Central Operating System to use Chicago itself to find and eliminate his enemies. A free ctOS mobile app for Android devices, iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch launched alongside the game, offering dual-screen support and a way for players to engage their friends when away from their computer or console. An eBook, Dark Clouds, is also available as a follow-up to the game’s story.

Watch Dogs multiplayed detailed, demonstrated in new trailer

Ubisoft has released a new multiplayer-focused trailer for their upcoming open-world action title Watch Dogs. The nine-minute-plus video features more on three multiplayer modes, ctOS – Mobile Companion App, Competitive Decryption Combat, and Online Hacking Contracts. A multiplayer hack is shown from two perspectives, the player being hacked, who must find the person responsible, and the hacker, who has to hide out and make a safe getaway. The mobile app allows players with the app to use their mobile device to control all hackable devices within the game world to stop another player who attempts to avoid the obstacles while driving around in-game. The final segment features two teams squaring off to secure a file.
