inXile to bundle original Wasteland with Wasteland 2
With inXile hitting the Kickstarter motherload with their Wasteland 2 campaign, the studio has announced that they will be sweetening the deal by including the 1987 original. EA, the current owners of the original Wasteland, have granted inXile the right to bring the fan-favorite title to a new generation, who have only trudged through desolated cities in the third dimension.

inXile to enlist Obsidian if Wasteland 2 drive surpasses $2.1 million
Role-playing fans still on the fence about chipping in towards the Wasteland 2 Kickstarter campaign might find themselves reaching for their wallets after the latest bit of news from inXile. According to the studio, if the campaign reaches $2,100,000, then Chris Avellone, chief creative officer of Obsidian Entertainment, will work directly with the design team. In addition, Obsidian as a company will also chip in by providing expertise and development tools.

inXile begins Wasteland 2 fan-funding Kickstarter project
Developer inXile is looking to Kickstarter to fund Wasteland 2. The follow-up, twenty years in the making (so to speak), will be to one of the most influential role-playing games ever released, and it will be up to fans to fund its development. inXile stated that Wasteland 2 will be true to the original, with a top-down perspective, turn-based design, and tactical combat. The game will feature moral dilemmas, and decisions which will require choosing the best of only bad options. The studio also wants to work closely with the Kickstarter backers, to ensure that the game created is the one that fans have been wanting.
