Mortal Kombat gets Freddy Krueger DLC, free classic Sub-Zero skins
The final DLC character has joined Mortal Kombat’s roster today with the addition of Freddy Krueger. Krueger joins the tournament from the Nightmare Realm, where he must face Shao Kahn in order to break free from the emperor’s hold to return home. Krueger now sports two gloves and features a full move list, fatalities, and an arcade ending. The Krueger pack is going for 400 MS Points/$4.99.

Bastion heading to PC, set to hit Steam soon
Supergiant Games’ Bastion, recently released on Live Arcade, will be launching on the PC in less than two weeks. The Warner Bros.-published action-RPG will be available on Steam for $14.99 on August 16. The PC version will include a new PC-centric control scheme, gamepad support, and be DRM-free. Bastion will launch on additional download outlets later this month, but in addition to being first out, the Steam version will also support Steamworks for Cloud saves, achievements, and leaderboards.

Batman: Arkham City gets a touch of Castle with Stana Katic
Warner Bros. made a small Batman: Arkham City announcement at Comic-Con this week. Stana Katic from ABC’s Castle has signed on to voice the character of Talia al Ghul. If you don’t know of Talia, then you might know her father, the classic villain (and one of the best on the animated series) Ra’s al Ghul.

Mortal Kombat’s fourth DLC announced, Freddy’s coming for you
The fourth DLC combatant for the latest Mortal Kombat was announced today. Due out in August for 400 MS Points/$4.99, Freddy Krueger from the famed Nightmare on Elm Street films will join the roster as an entrant from the Dream Realm. Freddy comes packing two fatalities, an arcade ladder story ending, and a bit of an upgrade as he will now sport a second beclawed glove.

Mortal Kombat gets some Rain, two new MK2-inspired classic skins
Mortal Kombat’s roster is growing by one today with the addition of Rain. Rain makes the third of four DLC characters to join the ranks of the Netherworld combatants, following Skarlet and Kenshi, bringing with him an arcade ladder story ending and two fatalities. Rain is available for 400 MS Points on Live, or as part of the Season Pass program, and $4.99 on PSN.

Batman goes download-only in new first-person shooter, Gotham City Impostors
A new download-only first-person shooter set in the Batman universe has been announced for the 360, PC, and PS3 from Warner Bros. Interactive. Currently in development at Monolith Productions, Gotham City Impostors will have players join either the Bats or the Jokerz to battle over portions of Gotham City in maps and modes inspired by the Batman license.

Mortal Kombat: Legacy rolls past 5 million views, new episode online
Mortal Kombat: Legacy, the new live-action anthology that premiered last week on Machinima, has launched to some strong numbers. Since last Tuesday, the first episode, titled “Jax, Sonya and Kano Part 1,” has been viewed over five million times. Future episodes will be released weekly, with the second episode now available at YouTube.com – Mortal Kombat: Legacy, and feature match-ups between some of the franchise’s biggest characters including Scorpion, Sub Zero, Cyrax, and Sector.
