CD Projekt has released two new environmental screenshots from The Witcher 3’s second expansion pack, Blood and Wine. Scheduled to launch in the first half of 2016, the 20-hour adventure will add a region untouched by war, Toussaint. Geralt finds all the trappings of a calm, civilized land when he arrives but soon uncovers an unsettling secret. The screens show a village as well as a large capital, crowned with a gleaming castle.

Batman: Arkham Knight gets November update, new DLC packs

Warner Bros. has released the next batch of downloadable content for Batman: Arkham Knight. Two new Arkham Episodes are available today, both of which include two AR challenge maps: Catwoman’s Revenge, which has players track down the Riddler as Catwoman after the main storyline, and Flip of a Coin, which pits Robin against Two-Face. Starting today, Season Pass holders can access 2016 Batman v Superman Batmobile Pack, a free download that includes the Batsuit and the Batmobile from the new film. Everyone else will be able to download the pack on December 1. Several other add-ons also launched, and are detailed below.

Techland has announced that their upcoming expansion for Dying Light, The Following, will be released during the first quarter of 2016. The studio also released a new video to go along with the reveal … well, it’s more of a teaser. It’s not quite 20 seconds long, so please calibrate expectations accordingly. But hey, at least there is a bit of gameplay.

New Dying Light tools contest, Beyond Dying Light II, open for voting

Techland has opened Beyond Dying Light II, the second Dying Light Dev Tools contest, for public voting. Five mods were selected by the production team, all of which are currently up for download through Steam workshop. Players can look forward to defending a replica of the pub from Shaun of the Dead, and trying to make their way through a house after being shrunk to the size of a bottle cap. Details for each are available below. Voting is open until September 13.

Techland covers Dying Light: The Following in 28-minute video

Techland is showing off Dying Light’s upcoming downloadable add-on The Following with a lengthy new gameplay video. Running nearly 29 minutes long, the video features a 15-plus-minute unedited look at the story-based expansion, highlighting one of the new quest chains, The Truth Is Out There, along with the new map, dirt buggies, and ranged weapons. The remaining run time is taken up by the Techland crew answering questions and offering insight into what’s taking place onscreen. For the map creators out there, the second edition of the Beyond Dying Light Dev Tools contest is ongoing and will end on August 31. With this, all 16 pieces of free DLC are up for grabs. Batman: Arkham Knight gets 1989 Movie Batmobile, Bat-Family Skins

Two new downloadable packs have gone live for Batman: Arkham Knight, the 1989 Movie Batmobile Pack and Bat-Family Skin Pack. The Batmobile Pack adds not only the Batmobile from the 1989 film but also another skin based on the film for Batman, as well as two racetracks inspired by Batman and Batman Returns. The Bat-Family Skin Pack is a bundle of six skins from various timelines: 1990s Catwoman, One Year Later Robin, Arkham Origins Batman, Iconic Grey & Black Batman, 1970s Batman, and Original Arkham Nightwing. Each pack runs $1.99. New screenshots, a new trailer, and a DLC release schedule were also released.

New Mad Max interactive trailer released, Choose Your Path

A new interactive trailer has been released for Mad Max. The Choose Your Path video runs through a scenario that takes over two minutes to complete and allows viewers to decide how Max goes about tackling a variety of situations, loading a clip corresponding to their choice. There are three branches in total, three choices per branch, with each showcasing a different gameplay style. The video’s total run length is over seven minutes, the scenario looping several times so that viewers can follow multiple paths.

Everyone else will get their chance to play the Batgirl next week when the $6.99 pack goes live for all. The WB Games Montréal-developed expansion is set before the events of Arkham Knight and follows Batgirl and Robin as they attempt to save Commissioner Gordon from The Joker at Seagate Amusement Park. Details about two upcoming DLC packs were also announced.
