It’s time to lay down the law. For cash. Bounty hunter Silas Greaves makes his debut today in Ubisoft and Techland’s Call of Juarez Gunslinger. Available for 360, PC, and PS3, the download-only release takes players on a journey through the Wild West, as seen through a dime novel. Silas lives the life of a mythical gunslinger as he tracks down and squares off against the era’s most notorious criminals, including Billy the Kid, Pat Garret, Jesse James, and Butch Cassidy.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, Watch Dogs announced for Xbox One

Ubisoft has confirmed that both Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and Watch Dogs will be available for Xbox One. Those are only two of at least six titles that the studio plans to release during the system’s first year. Both ACIV and Watch Dogs are scheduled to launch for the Xbox One later this year.

New Splinter Cell Blacklist co-op mode trailer, screenshots released

Ubisoft has revealed more of Splinter Cell Blacklist’s co-op multiplayer with a new trailer and batch of screenshots. Fisher will be assisted by a handful of allies in his missions, who will provide intel and assign tasks that can be completed to earn a special currency that unlocks access to new weapons and gear. One of the agents, Isaac Briggs, who is also featured in the trailer, will join in whenever another player wants to lend a hand. The Strategic Mission Interface, a new addition to the series, will be used to link single-player and co-op play.

Might & Magic Heroes VI Shades of Darkness now on UPlay, Steam

The new standalone expansion for Might & Magic Heroes VI, Shades of Darkness, has launched for PC. The download-only release is available on Ubisoft’s UPlay store and Steam. Shades of Darkness brings back Raelag, introduced in Heroes V, and the Dungeon faction. The two included campaigns, set centuries after Heroes VI, follow The Dark Elves and the Necromancers. Raelag must unify the Dark Elves before they descend into civil war, and the vampire Vein needs to find a cure for the Necromancers’ queen before she dies from a magical disease. A new portal has launched online to coincide with the release, offering additional insight into the history, mythology, and characters of the universe.

Watch_Dogs to launch in November, gameplay trailer released

Ubisoft has revealed that their upcoming open-world action title Watch_Dogs will be released on November 19 for 360, PC, PS3, and Wii U. The PS4 version will be available at the system’s launch, and versions for other next-gen consoles are also planned. To kick off the announcement, a new gameplay trailer has been released that features protagonist Aiden Pearce in a heretofore unseen district of Chicago. Lastly, the studio also revealed a poster, posted below, with art from Alex Ross that is being given away as a pre-order bonus.

Ubisoft acquires Anno developer Related Designs

Germany-based Related Designs, developers of the Anno series and No Man’s Land, has been acquired by Ubisoft. The publisher announced today that they have purchased 70.05 percent of the Anno 2070 developer in a cash transaction, up from their previous stake of 29.95. According to the announcement, Related Designs will continue to develop the browser-based free-to-play Might & Magic Heroes Online, and going forward will work with fellow Ubisoft studio Blue Byte.
