The armless, legless platforming wonder returns today with the launch of Rayman Legends for 360, PC, PS3, PS Vita, and Wii U. The follow-up to Origins takes place 100 years later, with Rayman and his friends waking up from their slumber to find that the Glade of Dreams has been invaded by nightmares. His latest adventure features not only traditional platforming but also new rhythm-based stages. Another new feature, exclusive to the Wii U version, is support for a fifth player, who can use the GamePad controller to take control of Murfy.

Flashback launches for 360, includes new and original versions

Flashback, an updated HD version of the 1992 side-scrolling action-adventure title, is now available for 360. PC and PS3 gamers will be able to play it later this fall, but as of today, 360 owners can download the revamped release for 800 MS Points as part of XBLA’s Summer of Arcade. Many members of the original team, now with VectorCell, the studio behind the update, had a hand in updating the cinematic sci-fi adventure. As a bonus, the original game is being bundled with the re-imagined version. Be prepared for some brutal times as Conrad battles alien Morphs to save humanity.

Might & Magic X Legacy now on Steam as Early Access title

Might & Magic X Legacy has become the latest addition to Steam Early Access. Ubisoft has announced that gamers who pre-order the Deluxe Edition, available online through Steam and uPlay, can now play the entire first act of Legacy. By being an Early Access title, players can try the game out and give developer Limbic feedback as they continue to work on the remaining acts. The tech, personnel of Splinter Cell Blacklist detailed in new video

Ubisoft has released a new video from Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist. The latest footage features tech ops specialist Charlie Cole detailing some of the gadgets and personnel that will aid Fisher in his mission to hunt down and stop the Engineers. It’s over seven minutes of profile debriefs, espionage, broken bones, and gun fights.

Rayman Legends announced for PC, screenshots release

Ubisoft has announced that Rayman Legends will be available for PC. The Windows version will launch alongside the 360, PS3, PS Vita, and Wii U versions, and is being developed by Ubisoft Chengdu in cooperation with Ubisoft Montpellier. Legends is the follow-up to 2011’s Rayman Origins, and Ubisoft has announced that gamers who pre-order the digital version of Legends from UbiShop will receive the PC version of Rayman Origins for free.

Ubisoft has revealed the Limited Edition Pack for their upcoming open-world, surveillance-centric action title Watch Dogs. The premium set will launch on November 19 for 360, PC, and PS3, and at launch for PS4 and Xbox One, for $129.99. The pack includes the game, a 9” statue of protagonist Aiden Pearce, Aiden Pearce’s mask, a SteelBook case with art from DedSec, the game’s soundtrack, and an 80-page hardcover art book.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag’s director Ashraf Ismail talks gamers through the life of a pirate in a new gameplay trailer. E3 2013: Ubisoft reveals action-RPG Tom Clancy’s The Division

It seems as though Ubisoft has had an ace up their sleeve for some time with Tom Clancy’s The Division. Announced during their E3 conference, the Massive Entertainment-developed title is an open-world action-RPG set in New York three weeks after a pandemic hit the city during Black Friday. Since the outbreak, social order has collapsed and The Division, a secret unit of self-supporting agents, has been activated and sent in by the President. The trailer shown during the show has been made available, and it’s looking very good, with a mixture of co-op player-versus-environment and player-versus-player gameplay.

Rayman Legends announced for PS Vita, dated for September 3

Ubisoft has announced that a PS Vita version of Rayman Legends is in development and will launch alongside the console versions on September 3. The handheld release will include all of the original content and several extras: five exclusive maps, Murphy as a playable character on the new maps, and two Ubisoft-themed costumes (Prince of Persia for Rayman and Splinter Cell for Globox). Multiplayer will support co-op play within the same country via Wi-Fi.
