See nearly 20 minutes of Watch Dogs 2 in new gameplay video

Ubisoft has released a new gameplay video for Watch Dogs 2. The walkthrough video runs over 19 minutes long and debuts the sequel’s single-player free-roam gameplay, with protagonist Marcus wandering around the San Francisco Bay Area. He visits a few notable locations, including Coit Tower and Fisherman’s Wharf. Also highlighted are some of the revamped hacking and driving mechanics, as are drones, customization options, and multiplayer.

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege – Skull Rain launch trailer posted

Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege’s next update, Skull Rain, is scheduled to go live tomorrow, and a launch trailer has been released to highlight its features. The patch will add a new Favela map, described as “the most destructible environment to date,” Tactical Realism mode to Custom Games, two new BOPE operators, and numerous other additions and fixes. Caveira, a stealth-focused interrogator, joins the cast alongside Capitão, a crossbowmen who uses micro grenades and asphyxiating bolts. Season Pass holders will receive the operators immediately, while everyone else will have to wait until August 9 to unlock them with R6 credits or Renown.

Tom Clancy’s The Division – Incursions adds new activities, features

Tom Clancy’s The Division – Incursions, the first of two free updates, has gone live. Players can now take part in Falcon Lost, with player teams helping the Joint Task Force to fight the Last Man Battalion, and timed assignments that offer new rewards. New global events add Dark Zone supply drops of non-contaminated gear that don’t require extraction. Also added is the ability to trade within groups, and see the strength of other agents by a gear score. Several new gear sets will also offer build-based stat perks: Tactician’s Authority (electronics and support), Striker’s Battlegear (assault), Sentry’s Call (marksman), and Path of the Nomad (lone wanderer). Operation ISAC, an in-game weekly video series that offers missions and intel, also debuted earlier today, and will air every Tuesday at 3 a.m. (PT).

Ubisoft details free, for-pay DLC plans for Tom Clancy’s the Division

Tom Clancy’s the Division will be receiving three major expansions, according to Ubisoft. The online open-world role-playing shooter will receive both free updates and for-pay add-ons. The free updates will include standard balance tweaks and bug fixes along with new modes, such as group challenges in co-op. For-pay additions will be released throughout the year and add an underground area for up to four players in co-op, a survival mode, and another, unspecific mode called Last Stand. All three are included with the Season Pass, which also comes with an exclusive sawed-off shotgun and customize sidearm, in addition to outfits, weapon skins, and access to special events and content drops. Players can sign up for the upcoming beta here, which is set to kick off on January 28 for Xbox One and 29 for PC and PS4.

Titled Takkar, the video introduces the hunter Takkar, who arrives in Orosto to help the Wenja face off against other tribes as well as fend off attacks from deadly animals. The footage features some impressive environments and a few scenes of combat. In addition, Ubisoft also released a new entry in their Behind the Scenes video series, plus a few pieces of artwork. Ubisoft has released a new trailer for the upcoming second entry in the Assassin’s Creed Chronicles series, India. The video offers details on the backstory as well as several minutes of gameplay footage. As the assassin Arbaaz Mir, players must stop a Master Templar from stealing the Koh-i-noor diamond and recover a strange box that was taken from the order. Players must accomplish their mission as hostilities erupt between the Sikh Empire and Britain’s East India Company.

Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India, Russia dated for early 2016

The Assassin’s Creed Chronicles trilogy will be wrapping up on February 9, according to Ubisoft. Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: India will go live on January 12 for PC, PS4, and Xbox One, and Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: Russia on February 9. All three episodes will be bundled together in Assassin’s Creed Chronicles Trilogy Pack, which will also be available on February 9 digitally for PC, PS4, and Xbox One and in retail for PS4 and Xbox One. A PS Vita version is slated for April 5. Episodes are standalone but linked narratively, and can be purchased separately for $9.99.

The long-running tactical shooter series Rainbow Six returns today with the release of Siege. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal, Siege features squads of counterterrorism units from across the globe, including Germany’s GSG-9 and Russia’s Spetsnaz, as they attempt to breach fortified positions utilizing their unique equipment and techniques. Players can also switch the roles and go on the defense by deploying everything from heavy shields to barbed wire.

Rainbow Six Siege’s post-launch update, content plans announced

Ubisoft has outlined their post-launch content plans for Rainbow Six Siege. In addition to regular balancing and tweaks, the development will be holding events and competitions. Four free content expansions are also in the works, with the seasonal releases each including a map, two operators, primary and secondary weapons, and a gadget. The new operators, along with tiered weapon skins, will have to be unlocked with real money via R6 Credits ($4.99 for 600) or with Renown earned during play; pretty much everything earns the player Renown, from accomplishing Daily Challenges to watching tutorials, though team killing will remove some. It will take 600 R6 Credits or 25,000 Renown to unlock operators, which equates to approximately 25 hours of gameplay. New game modes will also be added during the year.
