Far Cry 4 gets eight-minute-long 101 Launch Trailer

A new trailer has been released for Far Cry 4, the 101 Launch Trailer. The video is over eight minutes long and features the protagonist’s backstory as well as info on the area’s factions, weapons, locales, quests, multiplayer, weapons and crafting. It’s a pretty thorough walkthrough, and made up largely of gameplay footage. The fourth entry sets players loose in the Himalayas in the midst of a civil war to overthrow the dictator Pagan Min. Drop-in/drop-out co-op play is also supported.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue and Assassin’s Creed Unity now available

In addition to the current-gen Assassin’s Creed Rogue, Ubisoft has also announced the release of the PC- and next-gen-only Assassin’s Creed Unity. ‘Generation’ is hard to define at the moment, so bear with us. Rogue’s launch trailer was posted yesterday. Unlike Rogue, which follows a Templar during the Seven Years’ War, Unity is set during the French Revolution and follows Arno, a man who turns to the brotherhood after the loss of a loved one. Players will be able to traverse an open-world Paris, taking down targets as they gain new skills, customize weapons, and earn new gear. Unity also includes four-player co-op missions that reward special co-op gear, and players will get to utilize unique co-op skills based around agility, force, or stealth.

Assassin’s Creed Rogue on sale tomorrow, launch trailer released

Ubisoft has released a launch trailer for Assassin’s Creed Rogue. Scheduled to hit store shelves and download outlets tomorrow, Rogue follows Assassin turned Templar Shay Patrick Cormac. The new Templar is on a quest to take down his former brothers in the midst of the Seven Years’ War. Players will once again be able to take to the seas as well as explore new locations throughout North America, including the Appalachian River Valley and New York.

The Crew open beta begins for Xbox One, PS4, Season Pass revealed

The Crew’s Season Pass has been detailed by Ubisoft. Scheduled to begin hitting download outlets in January, the packs will include new cars, two of which will be exclusive to pass holders (the McLaren 12C and Ferrari 458 Speciale), additional tuning kits, early access, and paint jobs. New missions will also launch with each pack, free to all players. Full details are available below. Today also marks the start of the open beta for PS4 and Xbox One, which runs through November 10. All pre-orders are eligible to participate; everyone else wanting access can sign up here. The beta gives players the chance to tackle challenges in two of the game’s five regions, East Coast and Midwest, along with two player-versus-player lobbies and access to the Street and Dirt spec classes.

Far Cry 4 season pass to include five packs of missions and modes

Far Cry 4’s season pass has been detailed today by Ubisoft. The $29.99 pass will be available for all versions at launch and include new missions and modes for both solo and co-op play. A day-one mission, The Syringe, is a single or co-op mission exclusive for season pass holders that pits players against Pagan Min’s forces in a game of keep-away as they attempt to safeguard a recipe. In addition, there will be four other download packs. Escape from Durgesh Prison will be an open-world survival mode playable solo or in co-op, Hurk Deluxe Pack will include five missions and a new weapon, Overrun will add a player-versus-player territory-style mode, and Valley of the Yetis will add a horde-style mode playable solo or in co-op. Tetris Ultimate set to hit retail, eShop this November for 3DS

Tetris Ultimate will launch for 3DS on November 11, according to Ubisoft. The new entry features support for up to four players with six modes in addition to a new solo Challenge mode. The modes, detailed below, include a four-player versus battle, a race to clear 40 lines, and an ultimate battle that features defensive and offensive power-ups. The game will be available in two formats and for two prices, with the physical version running $29.99 and the digital version $19.99.

Wii U owners will be able to hack their way around Chicago—and into some explosive chaos—this November in Watch Dogs. Beginning on November 18, gamers will get the chance to don their GamePads in a quest for revenge as hacker turned vigilante Aiden Pearce. The Wii U version will support Off-TV Play, allowing for gaming sessions to move between TV and GamePad, and add an interactive map of the city on the GamePad whenever played on a TV.

Watch Dogs: Bad Blood adding new missions, co-op on Sept. 23/30

A new story-based download pack for Watch Dogs, Bad Blood, will be going live on September 23 for season pass holders and September 30 for everyone else. The new campaign will follow the hacker T-Bone in 10 new missions set throughout the city in new locations. After receiving a call to help a former co-worker, Tobias Frewer, T-Bone delays dropping off the grid to lend a hand, only to discover that his friend might be setting him up. The pack also adds Street Sweep contracts, “a dynamic new system of side missions” that are playable in co-op with friends or public sessions; a remote-controlled car dubbed Eugene; and new outfits, perks, and weapons.
