Valiant Hearts: the Great War, a new adventure from Beyond Good & Evil and Rayman Legends developers Ubisoft Montpellier, is now available for 360, PC, PS3, PS4, and Xbox One. As a party of four characters, players will attempt to navigate the battlefields of World War I, using each in turn to assisst the others, as they follow a friendly dog out of the warzone. The characters “are inextricably drawn together, and friendship, love, sacrifice and tragedy befall each as they help each other to retain their humanity against the horrors of war.”

Rayman Legends bounding onto PS4 and Xbox One in 2014

Rayman will be making his way to the newest console generation early next year with the release of Rayman Legends for PS4 and Xbox One. Scheduled to launch on February 25, the next-gen version of Legends will sport improved visuals, reduced load times, and unique costumes (Splinter Ray, Ray Vaas, and Globox Vass on Xbox One and Assassin Ray on PS4). Several new features are also being added, with the Xbox One version receiving 10 exclusive challenges and time-limited Achievements for Xbox One and the PS4 version receiving controller touchpad support for scratching Lucky Tickets and Remote Play on PS Vita.

The armless, legless platforming wonder returns today with the launch of Rayman Legends for 360, PC, PS3, PS Vita, and Wii U. The follow-up to Origins takes place 100 years later, with Rayman and his friends waking up from their slumber to find that the Glade of Dreams has been invaded by nightmares. His latest adventure features not only traditional platforming but also new rhythm-based stages. Another new feature, exclusive to the Wii U version, is support for a fifth player, who can use the GamePad controller to take control of Murfy.

Rayman Legends announced for PC, screenshots release

Ubisoft has announced that Rayman Legends will be available for PC. The Windows version will launch alongside the 360, PS3, PS Vita, and Wii U versions, and is being developed by Ubisoft Chengdu in cooperation with Ubisoft Montpellier. Legends is the follow-up to 2011’s Rayman Origins, and Ubisoft has announced that gamers who pre-order the digital version of Legends from UbiShop will receive the PC version of Rayman Origins for free.

Rayman Legends announced for PS Vita, dated for September 3

Ubisoft has announced that a PS Vita version of Rayman Legends is in development and will launch alongside the console versions on September 3. The handheld release will include all of the original content and several extras: five exclusive maps, Murphy as a playable character on the new maps, and two Ubisoft-themed costumes (Prince of Persia for Rayman and Splinter Cell for Globox). Multiplayer will support co-op play within the same country via Wi-Fi.

Rayman fans, there is some good news and some bad news. The good news is for 360 and PS3 owners: Rayman Legends has been announced for both systems. The bad news is for Wii U owners: the Wii U version has been delayed. With the decision to go multiplatform, Ubisoft has decided to have all titles launch at the same time, which is currently sometime in September. Ubisoft Montpellier, the studio behind the Wii U version, is also developing the 360 and PS3 versions.

Ubisoft Montpellier’s undead slaughter sim ZombiU has shipped to retail. Ubisoft has also released a launch trailer so players can get a better idea of how they will utilize the system’s new features throughout their battles against the shambling hordes.
