GOG.com adds titles from 2K Games, kicks off celebratory sale

GOG.com has announced that they are now selling games from 2K Games. To celebrate the addition, a publisher-wide sale is running from now until April 5. Several series are featured, including Railroad Tycoon, X-Com, and Sid Meier’s Pirates!, with some bundles up to 75% off. Eleven titles in total are on offer.

Valkyria Chronicles Remastered releasing May 17, combat trailer up

Valkyria Chronicles Remastered will be deploying on May 17, according to Sega. The re-release will feature updated visuals for 1080p at 60fps, improved textures, Trophy support, dual language tracks, and all downloadable content. A new combat trailer has also gone live. All launch copies will come in a metal case with art featuring Squad 7.

Ryu, Akira, and more return in Project X Zone 2 launch trailer

Bandai Namco has released the launch trailer for Project X Zone 2. The 3DS-exclusive tactical role-playing game features characters from numerous titles across properties from Bandai Namco, Capcom, and Sega. Characters from .hack//, Megaman X, Strider, Tekken, Tales of Vesperia, Virtua Fighter, and more all make an appearance, teaming up to once again save the world.

Valkyria Chronicles Remastered coming digitally, physically to PS4

Sega is following up their PC re-release of the PS3 tactical role-playing game Valkyria Chronicles with a new Remastered version for PS4. Valkyria Chronicles Remastered is set to launch digitally and physically this spring for $29.99, and as a bonus for early buyers, first-run and pre-order copies will come with a Squad 7 Armored Case that features the main characters. In addition to the main campaign, which tasks players with leading Gallia’s Squad 7 against the invading forces of the Empire, the game will also include all downloadable content. The DLC will add Hard EX Mode, Challenge of the Edy Detachment, and missions for Edy and Selvaria. The game will also feature support for 1080p at 60fps, dual audio tracks, and trophies.

Project X Zone 2 dated for Feb. 16, new characters, screens released

Bandai Namco has announced that Project X Zone 2 will be launching on February 16. Alongside the release date, several characters were also revealed. Joining the roster of the crossover turn-based strategy game are June Milliam from Star Gladiator and Captain Commando, courtesy of Capcom; Leanne, Vashyron, and Zephyr from Resonance of Fate and the one and only Segata Sanshiro, courtesy of Sega; and Heihachi Mishima from Tekken. GOG, Games Workshop bring three Warhammer titles to service

The Emperor is pleased! GOG.com has inked a deal with Games Workshop to add Warhammer and Warhammer 40,000 titles to their library. Three titles are making their ‘good old’ debut today: Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat, Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate, and Warhammer 40,000 Epic: Final Liberation. Shadow of the Horned Rat ($5.99) is the oldest of the bunch, a tactical strategy game with perma-death, while Chaos Gate ($9.99) is a turn-based strategy title with light customization elements and Final Liberation ($5.99) is another turn-based title. All three have been updated to run on modern systems and include their original soundtracks.

Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance launching Oct. 6, screens released

Word has been sent from NIS HQ that Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance will be available on October 6. A Launch Day Edition will hit store shelves for pre-orders and first-run buyers. GOG.com kicks off 2015 DRM-Free Summer Sale

GOG.com is jumping the gun on summer by launching their 2015 DRM-Free Summer Sale today. The event will include free games, daily bundles, giveaways, and themed discounts. This year, the service will be offering rewards for games purchased, and buyers have the chance to score three free games. Everyone who spends at least $1 will receive a free copy of SimCity 2000, while $20 nets a free copy of Stalker: Clear Sky and $50 a free copy of Xenonauts. The offer runs for the duration of the sale, which is set to end on June 21. New deals will appear every 12 hours, which will add up to over 700 games. Today’s highlighted deals are bundle discounts for LucasArts adventure titles, D&D enhanced editions, Heroes of Might and Magic series, and the first two Stalker releases.
