Developer- and Publisher-specific Articles: Tropico 5
El Presidente is calling upon his loving people to assist him by taking part in a beta for Tropico 5. Through his minions at Kalypso, he has proclaimed that registration is now open for fellow would-be despots to sign up for the program, which is set to kick off next month. Chosen applicants will get to try their hand at several of the new features being introduced in 5, including dynasties as well as co-op and versus online play.
El Presidente has surveyed the next-gen landscape, and he likes what he sees. To further the glory of his reign and of his island, the benevolent one has decided to share his city-management title Tropico 5 with PS4 players. Kalypso Media has announced that Haemimont Studios is currently working on the series’ PS debut, in addition to versions for 360 and PC, which will introduce a new dynasty feature to the long-running series. Tropico 5 will also add new research trees, new technology, improved trading mechanics, exploration, and both co-op and competitive multiplayer for up to four players.
Kalypso has released some new screenshots from Haemimont Games’ upcoming city-builder Tropico 5. The latest installment will see El Presidente take control of the island during the Colonial Era and guide its inhabitants through the turbulent times and beyond. The latest screens are taken from a pre-alpha build that was debuted at this year’s Gamescom.
