Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles out for console, PC

The download-only Zombies compilation, Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles, has gone live. The release, which requires Black Ops III, includes eight maps from the various Treyarch-developed entries: World at War, Black Ops, and Black Ops II. All of the maps have been enhanced with “vibrant current-generation visuals, enhanced lighting, revamped character models and environments, and updated AI and audio systems.” Custom weapons are also available across all of the maps: Nacht der Untoten (Abandoned Bunker), Verruckt (Wittenau Sanitorium), and Shi No Numa (Jungle Swamp) from World at War; Kino Der Toten (Theater of the Dead), Ascension (Soviet Cosmodrome), Shangri-la (Exotic Jungle Shrine), and Moon (Lunar Base) from Black Ops; and Origins (WWI France) from Black Ops II.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles overview video up

A new trailer has gone live for the recently announced Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles. The latest video features an overview of the gameplay from the upcoming compilation. Chronicles is set to bring together eight maps from a variety of Treyarch-developed titles, complete with updated graphics and the ability to use weapons from throughout the series.

Treyarch reveals Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles

Fans of the Zombies mode in Call of Duty will soon find a different kind of offering on Live, PSN, and Steam. Call of Duty: Black Ops III Zombies Chronicles will include eight maps across the Treyarch-developed entries (World at War, Black Ops, and Black Ops II). The maps are being “completely remastered from the ground-up, delivering many of the classic, thrilling Zombies origins storylines with stunning visuals, enhanced audio and new gameplay, all updated for today’s generation of consoles.” AI is also said to be undergoing an update. Additionally, players will be able to use custom weapons, including guns found in Black Ops III, across all of the maps: Nacht der Untoten (Abandoned Bunker), Verruckt (Wittenau Sanitorium), and Shi No Numa (Jungle Swamp) from World at War; Kino Der Toten (Theater of the Dead), Ascension (Soviet Cosmodrome), Shangri-la (Exotic Jungle Shrine), and Moon (Lunar Base) from Black Ops; and Origins (WWI France) from Black Ops II.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s final download pack, Salvation, has launched for PC and Xbox One. Salvation wraps up Origins Zombies, with the squad squaring off against Doctor Monty in The House, as well as adds four new maps: Citadel, Micro, Outlaw, and Rupture. Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Salvation has gone live on PSN. The final downloadable pack sees Black Ops III off with four multiplayer maps and the Origins Zombies’ finale, Revelations. The included maps are detailed below, but of note for series fans are two reimaginings: Black Ops II’s Standoff is now the Western-styled Outlaws, while World at War’s Outskirts has been reworked into a futuristic repair facility in Rupture. Revelations also wraps up the squad’s adventure as the group faces Doctor Monty in The House.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Salvation revealed, hitting PSN on Sept. 6

Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s fourth downloadable pack, Salvation, will debut for PS4 on September 6. The Treyarch-developed drop will add four multiplayer maps and the last installment of Origins Zombies, Revelations. The maps, detailed below, include a medieval castle, an oversized picnic layout, and two reimaginings. Black Ops II’s Standoff is taking on a Western-style flair in Outlaws, and World at War’s Outskirts will be turned into a futuristic repair facility. Revelations will find the time-jumping, space-traveling heroes facing off for one last fight, this time against Doctor Monty in The House.

Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Descent has launched for PC and Xbox One. The pack includes four new multiplayer maps, which are detailed below and include a remake of Black Ops II’s Raid. The drop also comes with the next entry in the Zombies’ Origins series, Gorod Krovi. The latest installment of the horror-themed spin-off is set in an alternate past where players must face mechanized zombies and dragons while battling their way through Stalingrad.

Details, teams revealed for Call of Duty World League Stage 2 Finals

Activision has released details about Call of Duty World League’s upcoming CWL Pro Division Stage 2 Finals. Scheduled to run from today until July 17 in Burbank, CA, teams from Australia/New Zealand, Europe, and North America are set to square off by region. Quarterfinals kick off the tournament, with Saturday hosting ANZ finals and semifinals and Sunday the top European and North American teams. The players are competing for a piece of the $3.5 million 2016 prize pool. Players can watch the event on the Call of Duty Twitch channel, MLG.tv, Call of Duty’s eSports section, and through the PS4 version of Black Ops III’s Live Event Viewer. Call of Duty: Black Ops III – Descent detailed, hitting PS4 on July 12

Call of Duty: Black Ops III’s third downloadable pack, Descent, got its first trailer today. The add-on, debuting on PSN on July 12, features four multiplayer maps as well as the next installment in Zombies. The maps, detailed below, include Empire, a reimagined versions of Black Ops II’s Raid; Berserk, a Viking village; Rumble, set in an arena where giant robots battle; and Cryogen, a prison filled with cryogenic tubes. The new Zombies entry, Gorod Krovi, sees the Origins gang in an alternate USSR where the remains of Stalingrad are dominated by mechanized zombies.
