Bethesda announces The Elder Scrolls Online for Mac, PC
Ever since Daggerfall, The Elder Scrolls series has offered a massive realm for players to explore. Now, after five releases going back over a decade, Bethesda is taking the next step with the official announcement of The Elder Scrolls Online. The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim to support Kinect

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ships 10 million, sets Steam record
From its humble beginnings as a hack-and-slash dungeon crawler, The Elder Scrolls franchise has skyrocketed in popularity across multiple console generations and the PC. And now, the latest entry, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has topped all of its predecessors with an announced 10 million-plus copies shipped around the globe. Going by the November 16 announcement of seven million shipped, that makes for nearly 800,000 copies a week since launch week. The 360, PC, and PS3 RPG has raked in around $650 million in retail sales since November, and according to Bethesda, the PC version has outsold all other PC titles over three to one in North America.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim ships 7 million copies, enjoys brisk sales
As someone who remembers booting up Arena so many years ago, it’s amazing to see how far The Elder Scrolls series has come. The latest entry in the saga, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has shipped seven million units across all supported platforms (360, PC, and PS3) and is estimated by Bethesda to earn them “more than $450 million in global retail sales” based on launch copies alone. Over 50% of the launch stock was sold in the first 48 hours, and Skyrim recently set a Steam record with 280,000 active adventurers simultaneously tromping around the lands.

Bethesda’s long-awaited sequel to Oblivion, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, has hit store shelves for the 360, PC, and PS3. Set hundreds of years after Oblivion, the land of Skyrim is in turmoil as a civil war rages in the wake of the king’s assassination. As factions fight to cede from or remain a part of the Empire, the player sets out to ensure that the prophecy of the world’s destruction by the dragon god Alduin doesn’t come to pass.

Behold, ye adventurers, Skyrim Avatar items are now available on Live Marketplace.
