NIS has announced that Atelier Sophie: The Alchemist of the Mysterious Book Limited Edition is now available for pre-order. The PS4 craft-heavy role-playing game will be available as a $99.99 limited edition that includes a copy of the game, a 48-page hardcover art book, a 2-disc soundtrack with a total of 38 tracks, a 40”x26” cloth poster, five 5”x7” mini art prints, and a collector’s box. Dragon Quest Heroes now available in stores, online for PS4

The Dragon Quest adventurers are hitting the battlefield today in Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below. A sharp departure for the series, Dragon Quest Heroes is an action RPG that lets players bash hordes of familiar enemies with heroes from throughout the series. Two new characters, Aurora and Luceus, join 13 characters from IV, V, and VIII to rid the land of a curse by hacking, slashing, leveling, and summoning friendly monsters.

Dragon Quest Heroes gets overview trailer, new screenshots

Square Enix has released a new trailer, along with a batch of screenshots, for their upcoming action role-playing title Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below. The latest video, King Doric’s Royal Overview Trailer, features the king detailing various aspects of the game, including the heroes, party creation, monster metals, alchemy, and shopping, to prepare the player for their upcoming battle against the land’s crazed monsters. Stateside players will have even more to handle, as the North American version will include all of the downloadable content released in Japan.

NIS announces exclusive Samurai Warriors 4-II limited edition for PS4

NIS will be releasing a limited edition of Samurai Warriors 4-II for PS4. The special version will launch on September 29 exclusively through their online store, and will come packed with an 80-page art book, a 13-track CD, and a collector’s box. Koei Tecmo is handling traditional retail and digital publishing duties for the standard edition. The latest entry in the series will feature revamped combat and character-progression mechanics, 13 chapters, nine characters (including a new addition), and a wave-based challenge mode, Endless Castle.

Dragon Quest Heroes launching Oct 13, two limited editions detailed

Dragon Quest Heroes: The World Tree’s Woe and the Blight Below will be released on October 13 as a Day One Edition and a Slime Collector’s Edition. The Day One Edition will come bundled with a code for downloadable equipment, and the Slime Collector’s Edition will add to the Day One’s downloadables a slime plushie, slime keychain, slime lanyard, and even more downloadable content, including bonus quest items and Slime-themed goodies. A full list is available below. The Day One Edition is the standard retail price of $59.99, while the Slime Collector’s Edition is a Square Enix Online Store exclusive for $99.99. Dragon Quest Heroes coming stateside for PS4, dated for 2015

In a surprise announcement, Square Enix has revealed that they will be bringing over Dragon Quest Heroes later this year. The Dynasty Warriors-style brawler is releasing this week in Japan and was co-developed by Omega Force and Koei Tecmo, who were recently involved in the development and publishing, respectively, of Hyrule Warriors. The action role-playing game will feature similar gameplay, with players facing hordes of enemies as they gain experience and new gear.

Ar Nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star limited edition coming via NIS

NIS has entered into a publishing partnership with Koei Tecmo America to release a limited edition of Gust’s upcoming role-playing game, Ar Nosurge: Ode to an Unborn Star. Koei Tecmo America is handling the localization and publishing, while NIS is taking the lead on the premium version, which includes a 26-page hardcover art book, soundtrack, 16”x23” poster, and collector’s box. Ar Nosurge will see players following two sets of characters on two different, intertwining journeys set in the far future: Casty and Delta, who are attempting to save mankind, and Ion and Earthes, who are trying to find a way for Ion to return to Earth.

Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn out for PS3, now on PSN

Bandai Namco has released Dynasty Warriors: Gundam Reborn on PSN for PS3. The Tecmo Koei-developed entry includes over 150 scenarios, 37 areas, and 100-plus playable Mobile Suits drawn from across the franchise, including Unicorn and Seed. Units can now form up with other suits for special attacks via the Burst System, all the better for taking down thousands (and thousands) of grunts. Local and online co-op play is also supported.

Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky ships for PS3

Grab your mortar and pestle, it’s time to get back to work. The Atelier series continues today with the release of Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky for PS3. Players will once again gather ingredients and craft items and potions, take on assignments, and battle monsters. This time around, there will be two storylines that focus on different gameplay elements, with Escha’s portion replete with crafting and synthesizing, while Logy’s sections are geared towards action, exploration, and customization. Other changes include the bump from three party members to six, a streamlined synthesis system, and a new alchemist ability that increases item effectiveness when used successively.
