Two newcomers to the Tales series have been introduced in new screenshots from Tales of Berseria. Members of the clergy, Melchior and Shigure Rangetsu, are joining the adventure. The two are from the Abbey, experts at exorcism, with Melchior being an elder who is experienced in alchemy and knowledgeable about ancient legends. Shigure is described as being more carefree and known for taking on tough tasks, but also as not being very popular in the organization.

Two new characters have been revealed from Tales of Berseria. Three screenshots highlight the half-siblings Teresa Linares and Oscar Dragonia. The duo are from the Abbey, the power behind the Holy Midgand Empire. The order battles those humans who have succumbed to the Daemonblight disease and turned into daemons. Oscar Dragonia is a Praetor exorcist from an aristocratic family, while his older half-sister, Teresa Linares, is also a Praetor and governs the town of Hellawes.

Bandai Namco has introduced two more characters from the cast of Tales of Berseria. The new screenshots feature Magilou and Bienfu. Magilou is a self-professed sorceress that is described as carefree, while Bienfu is a diminutive creature known as a malak, beings that can harness the power of nature. The two have a rocky history, but the full details will have to wait until launch.

The shots, as well as a few pieces of character art, highlight two new characters: Eleanor and Rokurou. The Tales series continues its run today with Tales of Zestiria for PC, PS3, and PS4. The latest installment features Sorey, a young adventurer who is attempting to become The Shepherd in an effort to rid the land of a corrupting force. Additions to the series include the ability to side dash in combat, as well as new combos accessible by fusing with Seraphim spirits for powerful elemental artes. Early buyers who purchase the game within the first 30 days will also get the epilogue chapter, Alisha’s Conviction, for free ($9.99 afterwards).

PC and PS4 versions of Tales of Zestiria to launch alongside PS3

The Tales series will be expanding its reach into new territories when Tales of Zestiria is released later this year. Ahead of E3, Bandai Namco has sent word that the previously announced PS3 version will be released alongside two others, one for PC and the other for PS4. In Zestiria, players take control of Sorey, a young adventurer ordained to become The Shepard, who must save the land from becoming corrupt by stopping an evil force called Malevolence. New combat mechanics are also being introduced with the new cast, including side dashes and a fusing ability that allows for the creation new elemental artes.

Tales of Hearts R is fast approaching for PS Vita owners. As its release closes in—just one week to go—Bandai Namco has released a new batch of screenshots. Additional details were also revealed about the story, which will have players take on the role of Kor Meteor in a battle against the Despir epidemic. Kor must purify the Spiria Core of those affected by venturing into their Spiria Nexus and defeating the feasting Xerom. The new images reveal what these Spira Nexus environs look like as well the invading Xerom.

Tales of Hearts R gets bonus pre-order costumes, to support PS TV

Some new Tales info today from Bandai Namco. Pre-orders for the upcoming Tales of Hearts R will come with access to six extra costumes, each taken from a different entry in the series: Tales of the Tempest, Symphonia, Dawn of the New World, Graces f, and Vesperia. The physical copy, which will only be available at GameStop, will come with a voucher to download the costumes, while the downloadable version, the Digital Limited Edition, will be bundled with them. The Digital Limited Edition will be available to purchase on release day, November 11, until the end of the month.
