Developer- and Publisher-specific Articles: Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World
Namco Bandai has released a new trailer for the release of Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. The PS3 set includes the GameCube entry Tales of Symphonia and its Wii follow-up, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World. Chronicles adds the original Japanese voice-overs, new art during Mystic Artes attacks, and new costumes as well as a new casino area for Tales of Symphonia.
Role-playing fans looking forward to Tales of Symphonia Chronicles can now pre-order a digital copy for $39.99. Purchasing it early will net buyers the same system theme included with the Collector’s Edition to boot. Speaking of which, the $99.95 Collector’s Edition’s contests were finalized as well, with the set including five Chibi Kyun Chara character figurines, a novel that bridges the gap between the titles (Successors of Hope), a four-disc soundtrack, a custom theme, a steelbook case, and special packaging with artwork from ufotable. Namco Bandai also announced the production of an additional 3,000 units of the Collector’s Edition in order to meet pre-order demand.
Namco Bandai has announced that Tales of Symphonia Chronicles, a two-for-one single-disc release that will include updated versions of Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, will also be coming out as a limited premium release. The Tales of Symphonia Chronicles Collector’s Edition will include five Chibi Kyun Chara figurines of characters from both games, a paperback novel that bridges the gap between the titles, a multi-disc sountrack, and special packaging with artwork from ufotable. The CE will be limited to 15,000 copies and cost $99.95. In addition, new screenshots were also released from both games.
Namco Bandai is advancing the Tales line later this year with Tales of Xillia, but next year, they will be taking a look back with Tales of Symphonia Chronicles. Scheduled to launch early 2014 for PS3, Chronicles (a working title) will include graphically enhanced versions of the GameCube’s Tales of Symphonia and its Wii follow-up, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World.
