Three DLC packs, Season Pass announced for The Evil Within

Bethesda has detailed The Evil Within’s post-launch DLC packs and Season Pass. The Shinji Mikami-helmed survival horror title will be supplemented with three download packs, and the pass to access them all will run $19.99. The first pack scheduled to launch, The Keeper (aka Boxman), is a collection of mission-based maps. The last two will make up a single side story featuring Sebastian’s partner, Juli Kidman, fleshing out the plot while adding new areas and new enemies.

Techland releases Dying Light gamescom demo gameplay video

Techland is heading into gamescom with a new trailer for Dying Light. The footage, clocking in at just under two and a half minutes, is taken from a demo that will be playable at the conference, which runs from August 14 to 17 in Cologne, Germany. All attendees will be able to try the demo for themselves by heading to the kiosks stationed in the convention’s Entertainment Area.

The Last of Us Remastered now available in stores, online for PS4

Sony has released the updated next-gen-ified version of Last of Us for PS4, The Last of Us Remastered. This enhanced version includes Left Behind, the prequel DLC that follows Ellie up to her meeting with Joel, two multiplayer map packs, and new difficulty modes. Performance has also been improved, with support for 1080p, 60 frames per second, longer draw distances, better lighting and shadows, and higher-resolution character models. Remastered is available for $49.99.

Dying Light gameplay trailer showcases Natural Movement system

In preparation for its presentation at E3, Techland has released a new gameplay trailer from their upcoming open-world action title Dying Light. The Evil Within bumped pack to October, pre-order bonus detailed

Bethesda has announced that Tango Gameworks’ upcoming survival-horror title The Evil Within has been pushed back to October 21. Originally scheduled to launch on August 26, the studio noted in a statement that Shinji Mikami and co. asked for more time to “refine the game in order to deliver the polished, terrifying pure survival horror experience they set out to create.” It’s not all bad news, however, as Bethesda also announced a new pre-order bonus, The Fighting Chance Pack. The pack, detailed below, includes weapons, a health-boosting gel, and an attribute-upgrading item.

Techland delays Dying Light, rescheduled to launch early 2015

Dead Island and Call of Juarez developer Techland has released a statement announcing that they have pushed back their open-world survival title Dying Light to next February. The title is currently scheduled to come out for five systems, and the release notes that the extra time will mean that they “won’t need to make compromises or trade-offs on any of the five platforms.” The full statement is available below.

CA details approach to Alien: Isolation in new developer video

A new behind-the-scenes trailer has been released from Total War creator Creative Assembly’s upcoming Alien: Isolation. The nearly three-and-a-half-minute video features several members of the development team discussing their plans to recreate the feelings of isolation and powerlessness that were so prevalent in the 1979 original film.
