Some new screens have been released from Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness. D2 sees the return of Laharl, Etna, and Flonne, and as a bonus, early buyers will be able to snag three extras: a two-disc sountrack, a graphic print, and a costume DLC pack for the three main characters. The costume pack is actually a freebie for everyone that will be available to download at no cost for the first 30 days from launch. The latest batch shows more of the turn-based wackiness that’s in store for gamers when D2 launches on October 8.

Atlus’ turn-based tactical-RPG Stella Deus: The Gate of Eternity is now available on PSN as a PS2 Classic. The 3.5GB release sets a small band of warriors on a quest to save the world of Solum from a life-destroying mist known as Miasma. Players will undertake the 50-plus-hour-long journey with the soldier Spero and shaman warrior Linea, who will take to the field against nefarious forces as they build up and manage a team comprised of 21 recruitable characters.

The next entry in the Disgaea series is getting the first run premium treatment with a host of extras set to ship with pre-order and launch copies of Disgaea D2: A Brighter Darkness. Set to hit store shelves on October 8, the PS3-exclusive strategy-RPG will include three bonuses for early buyers: a two-disc sountrack, a graphic print, and a costume DLC pack for the three main characters (Laharl, Etna, and Flonne). Divinity: Dragon Commander now available in stores, online for PC

Larian Studios’ latest action strategy-RPG title, Divinity: Dragon Commander, has launched online and in stores. As the Dragon Commander, players will control a struggling emperor as he strives to battle back usurpers and unify his fractured empire. From their headquarters onboard of a massive airship, players will recruit units, build structures, mobilize their troops, and consult with representatives from the world’s five races. To top it off, players can lead the charge personally by morphing into a jetpack-wearing dragon during combat. Eugen Systems has released a new expansion for their recently released strategy title, Wargame: AirLand Battle, Vox Populi. The free add-on includes a number of additions; the most notable of which is Conquest mode, making a return from the original Wargame, which allows players to achieve victory by holding the most territory when battling against one another or the AI. The rest of the additions include co-op support for Campaign mode, the option to select AI equipment type and nationality, 24 new units, and 5 new maps for Destruction and Conquest modes.

CastleStorm launches for PC, From Outcast to Savior DLC announced

Zen Studios’ tower defense-brawler hybrid CastleStorm is now available on Steam. Already available for 360, CastleStorm allows players to design and build their own castle using an in-game editor, and then manage its garrison to battle back invaders. A new DLC pack, From Outcast to Savior, was also announced and will be available for 360 and PC on July 31 for 240 MS Points/$2.99. The add-on will include the Royal Guard faction, new environments, new weapons, a new Hero, 20 new battles, and new levels for Skirmish and Survival.
