Disgaea: Netherworld Unbound announced for Android
NIS is getting into the North American Android market this fall with a new entry in the Disgaea series, Disgaea: Netherworld Unbound. Not many details were released, but it was stated that the game is going to be optimized for the platform and retain the series’ core elements while also being streamlined.

Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten now available, Prinnies a go
Disgaea 4: A Promise Unforgotten is now available for the PS3 (dood). The fourth outing includes updated visuals, the ability to create and manage a political cabinet to customize your team’s stats, a random map generator, and of course, the ability to go to level 9999. Custom maps can also be generated and shared with friends. Online play has also made its way to the series with the ability for players to create custom armies and invade other realms, with tracked win/loss records.

Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions now available for iOS
Final Fantasy Tactics: The War of the Lions launched on PSN last month for the PSP, and now the fan-favorite strategy-RPG is available on the App Store for the iPhone and iPod touch. The 2007 PSP re-release of the 1997 original, Final Fantasy Tactics, includes new cut scenes, jobs, and scenarios. The iOS version also features “new and improved visuals exclusive to the iPhone/iPod touch,” improved load times, as well as “intuitive touch-panel controls” with the ability to rotate and change map size by sliding and pinching.

NIS America has released the first batch of English shots of Disgaea 4. The latest in the long-running strategy-RPG series is scheduled to hit stores shelves for the PS3 on August 6.

Disgaea 4 – Premium Edition details announced
Disgaea 4′s Premium Edition has been unveiled. Set to ship this September, the PE will include the game in a collectible box along with a full-color softcover art book, complete with character profiles and concept art, as well as an exclusive figurine of Fuka. (Yay! Desk decorations!)
