Born Ready Games’ mech-based shooter Strike Suit Zero has launched on Steam. The $19.99 release features ship and bot designs from Junji Okubo (Appleseed) and a score from Paul Ruskay (Homeworld) and Kokia (Tales of Innocence). Born Ready has also announced that they plan on releasing Linux and Mac versions later this year.

The Cave now available online for console and PC

The Cave, the latest adventure-puzzler from designer Ron Gilbert and Double Fine Productions, is now available for 360, Linux, Mac, PC, PS3, and Wii U. The download-only release, published by Sega, features seven adventurers who must explore a trap-filled cave three at a time, with each character’s backstory coming to the fore as the trio make their way deeper into the chasm.

Akaneiro: Demon Hunters gets the Greenlight, open beta extended

Spicy Horse has announced that their upcoming action-RPG Akaneiro: Demon Hunters has been Greenlit by the Steam community, and that they have extended the open beta to January 22. The studio noted that the longer open beta period will allow for additional tweaking as well as ensure that those just finding out about the title, both Steam users and those now following its Kickstarter campaign, get some hands-on time. Spicy Horse hopes to launch on Steam later this month.

Positech has announced that they have released a new expansion for their strategy title Gratuitous Space Battles, Outcasts. The Outcasts are a cybernetic race who rebelled against the oppressive zealots who hated them because of their perceived impurity, and who now travel the universe in search of other organic races to destroy. The add-on extends the ship-building options by adding 10 new designs and new Outcast-only modules, and it also adds two new scenarios as well as the Outcast as a playable faction in all previously released content.

DmC Devil May Cry for PC dated and detailed, plus new screens

Capcom has announced that the PC version of Ninja Theory’s DmC Devil May Cry will launch on January 25, ten days after the console version. The Windows version is being developed by QLOC S.A. and is slated to be a Steam-only release. AMD’s Eyefinity and CrossFire technologies will be supported, as well as multiple control devices, including keyboard and mouse, the Xbox 360 controller, and a variety of third-party direct-input controllers. And as with other Steam titles, Cloud saving, achievements, friends support, and leaderboards will also be supported.

The Eastern Front is calling again with the recently launched DLC pack Red Turn: The Road to Berlin 1943-45 for Unity of Command. The $9.99 expansion adds a 17-scenario Soviet campaign, two standalone Axis scenarios, including the Battle of Kursk, four dedicated player-versus-player scenarios, 39 units, new specialist steps, and the 1.04 scenario editor. Bethesda has released a new gameplay trailer for Dunwall City Trials, the first of three DLC packs planned for Arkane Studios’ Dishonored. The pack will include 10 challenge maps and feature three events: arena battles, drop assassinations, and time trials. Each challenge will also have its own global leaderboard.
