Tyranny of King Washington: The Betrayal live for Assassin’s Creed III
The Tyranny of King Washington: The Betrayal, the second entry in Assassin’s Creed III’s three-part add-on, has launched for 360 and PC. PS3 owners will be able to download it tomorrow. Continuing from The Infamy, The Betrayal finds Ratonhnhaké:ton making his way to Boston to link up with a new ally. During his journey, he unlocks the power of the eagle, which enables short-distance flight.

Sniper Elite III announced for current and next-gen consoles, PC
The Sniper Elite series will continue next year, according to developer Rebellion and publisher 505 Games. Sniper Elite 3, currently under development, will see OSS sniper Karl Fairburne doing his part in North Africa (judging by the logo). 505 Games plans on releasing the title next year for PC as well as both current and next-generation consoles.

Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall announced, Daud to be playable
Arkane Studios will be showing the other side of the coin with a new downloadable add-on for Dishonored, The Knife of Dunwall. The upcoming drop, slated to launch on April 16 for 360, PC, and PS3, will put players in the shoes of Daud, the assassin who killed the Empress and kicked off the events in Dishonored. Players will explore new areas and have access to all of his weapons, gear, and abilities, as well as the support of the mercenary band the Whalers.

Eidos Montreal working on new entry in Thief series
If you’ve been curious as to what Eidos Montreal has been up to since they wrapped up the fantastic Deus Ex: Human Revolution, you now have your answer: Thief. Square Enix has announced that the next entry in the long-dormant Thief series is currently under development at the studio, and that Garrett will be returning as the protagonist, making his way back into gaming after an eight-year absence.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag detailed, trailer and screens released
As mentioned last week, Ubisoft has released new details about the upcoming sequel to Assassin’s Creed 3, Black Flag. The next installment has been in development for around two years, with efforts headed by Ubisoft Montreal and six other Ubi studios in support, and will be available for 360, PC, PS3, PS4, and Wii U, as well as “other next generation consoles” (i.e. Xbox Square, or whatever it’ll be called). The game will be available for the current slate of systems—360, PS3, and Wii U—this fall, on October 29.

Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag confirmed by Ubisoft
The rumored pirate-themed fourth entry in the Assassin’s Creed franchise has been confirmed today by Ubisoft. The notice was pretty sparse, save for the piece of included art, with only a notice that the official title is Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag and that more will be revealed on March 4.

Assassin’s Creed III gets Tyranny of King Washington: The Infamy
The first part of Assassin’s Creed III’s new three-part downloadable campaign The Tyranny of King Washington, The Infamy, is now available for 360, PC, and PS3. The Infamy begins with Ratonhnhaké:ton awaking to find Washington sitting on the throne as king of the colonies. Gamers can begin their quest to topple the new regime for $9.99/800 MS Points. Wii U owners will get their chance at a later date.

Assassin’s Creed III – The Tyranny of King Washington packs dated
All release dates have been announced for the upcoming three-part downloadable expansion for Assassin’s Creed III, The Tyranny of King Washington. The single-player campaign follows an alternate timeline where George Washington has himself crowned king and proceeds to terrorize the newly independent colonies. The packs, detailed below, will being their rollout on February 19 with The Infamy for 360, PC, and PS3, and on the Wii U at an unspecified later date.

Splinter Cell Blacklist gets Paladin Multi-Mission Aircraft Edition
Ubisoft has announced a premium edition for the next entry in the Splinter Cell series, Blacklist. The $169.99 Paladin Multi-Mission Aircraft Edition will be available on August 20 for 360 and PS3, and include, among other items, a remote control C-147B Paladin Aircraft and a limited 88-page graphic novel written by Nathan Edmondson.
