Ubisoft will be releasing a new Assassin’s Creed compilation for 360 and PS3, The Americas Collection. Scheduled to launch on October 28, the new set will include three titles: Assassin’s Creed III, Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag, and Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD. No word on a price, though.

Another set of Assassin’s Creed screenshots out of Ubisoft today, and this batch is from Rogue. The current-gen—or previously current-gen—release turns the tables and has players take on the role of a Templar during the Seven Years’ War. After being betrayed by the brotherhood, Shay Patrick joins his former foe and sets out on a quest for revenge by hunting down assassins.

New Assassin’s Creed Unity screenshots focus on story, co-op play

A few of the shots are from the single-player campaign, but most of the screens are from co-op multiplayer, demonstrating how teammates can help their fellow assassins reload during a firefight and pull them out of combat after being wounded.

The British Army is calling up virtual snipers to once again stop the Nazi menace in Sniper Elite 3. As OSS Agent Karl Fairburne, players will be a part of the Long Range Desert Group as they push across North Africa and work towards destroying a new wonder weapon. Missions will take place in Tobruk, the Kasserine Pass, and through Gaberoun and Siwa Oases. Levels are said to be larger and more open than before, allowing for greater freedom of movement, while the x-ray kill cams more detailed. Versus and co-op multiplayer is also supported with a series of special challenges.

A new patch has been announced for Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. Scheduled to launch on May 1, the update will add both formerly platform-exclusive missions Déjà vu and Jamais Vu to all versions. Déjà vu, the once-PlayStation-platform exclusive, is based on the original Metal Gear Solid and features a low-polygon Snake, while Jamais Vu has Raiden square off against Snatchers from the classic adventure title.

Assassin’s Creed Unity announced for 2014, trailer released

The Internet has managed where the Templars have failed by revealing the next assassin. After word leaked of the next Assassin’s Creed earlier this week, Ubisoft has released a trailer featuring alpha footage of the next installment, Unity. At just over a minute long, the video gives gamers a glimpse at what they can expect as the next assassin amidst the chaos of the French Revolution. Just be careful not to cross Robespierre: “Pity is treason.”

Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes detected (!) in stores, online

Konami has released the prequel to Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Ground Zeroes. Available in stores and online for 360, PS3, PS4, and Xbox One, Ground Zeroes follows Big Boss as he tackles a rescue mission inside of a Cuban prison camp. The 1975 op sees him sneaking into Camp Omega, which will allow players to attempt the rescue through pure stealth, action, or a combination of the two. The assignment also allows players to exerpience many of the new features, including a day-and-night cycle, dynamic weather, and second-screen functionality with the iDroid App for Android, iOS, and Xbox SmartGlass devices. Additional side missions also extend the gameplay beyond the core mission.
