Hitman: Sniper Challenge, Gyromancer now on CoreOnline
CoreOnline, Square Enix’s free-to-play online platform, has added Hitman: Sniper Challenge and Gyromancer. Sniper Challenge was initially a pre-order bonus for Hitman: Absolution, allowing players to practice their sniping skills against a series of targets in arcade-style missions. Scores can also be posted to Facebook for that extra bit of bragging. Gyromancer is a puzzle-RPG that has players take on the role of Rivel, a summoner of beasts, as he makes this way through Aldemona Wood.

Dozen new screens released for Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster
Square Enix has released a new batch of screenshots for Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster. The shots feature the three main characters—Yuna, Rikku, and Paine—venturing around Spira, two years after the events of Final Fantasy X. The shots highlight the graphical updates the team has focused on, which includes additional facial expressions, improved environmental textures, redrawn backgrounds, and enhanced rendered cutscenes.

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 ReMIX pre-order art book announced
Kingdom Heart fans looking forward to HD 1.5 Remix will be able to snag a 24-page hardcover art book pre-order bonus. According to Square Enix, the book will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the series, with promotional art, character renders, and artwork from Final Mix, Re:Chain, and 358/2 Days.

Tomb Raider gets new mulitplayer maps with Shipwrecked Map Pack
A new map pack has launched for Crystal Dynamic’s Tomb Raider reboot, the Shipwrecked Map Pack. Available for 360, PC, and PS3, the 320 MS Point/$3.99 set includes two new levels for multiplayer, Himiko’s Cradle and Lost Fleet. The maps, detailed below, are available on Live, PSN, and Steam.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut detailed, trailer released
Square Enix has released a new trailer for the upcoming Director’s Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, as well as a host of details about the many (many) improvements that are in store. The full details are available below, but some of the highlights include redesigned boss fights, which will feature new map layouts and tweaks to allow for non-violent victories; an improved energy-charging system so augments can be used more frequently; eight hours of director’s commentary; a 45-minute making-of movie; direct play via the GamePad; and the integration of the Missing Link DLC. The downside? It’s not coming out until next year.

Square Enix releases new Thief trailer, Out of the Shadows
Thief fans can now see Garrett back in action with a new trailer from Square Enix. The minute-long video shows Garrett gearing up for and going on a heist. The Eidos Montreal-developed title will see the master thief make his way through many more jewel boxes and trophy cases in a city on the brink of collapse, as the avarice of the rich feeds the growing resentment of the underclass.

Chaos Rings available for Windows Phone, Final Fantasy V for iOS
Square Enix has two new releases for the mobile market, Chaos Rings and Final Fantasy V. Chaos Rings, a brawl between couples who fight for immortality, is available for Windows Phone, specifically 7.5 (8.0 will be supported at a later date). Final Fantasy V’s mobile release has been updated with a new character, the gladiator Cannoneer; two new jobs, Oracle and Necromancer; and Game Center support. Final Fantasy V is available for iOS 4.3 or later for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

Final Fantasy III launches for Ouya
Final Fantasy III is now available for the Ouya. The new Android-powered console is being shipped out to the many Kickstarter backers but will be available in stores to the general public this June for $99.99. For those who get their systems early, Square Enix has announced that a new version of Final Fantasy III is on offer with several console-specific updates, including improved graphics and optimized controls. For those on the fence, a demo is also available.
