Dontnod’s episodic adventure title Life is Strange is now available in physical form for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. As high school senior (and resident time manipulator) Max Caulfield, players team up with friend Chloe Price to investigate the disappearance of another student in Arcadia Bay. Two versions are on offer, with the standard edition featuring all five episodes, and a Limited Edition, which also includes a 32-page art book, a music CD with 14 licensed tracks and 8 tracks from the game’s composer, and a directors’ commentary.

PC gamers itching to raid some tombs are in luck as Square Enix has announced that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be hitting Windows 10 later this month, on January 28. The PC version is being co-developed with Nixxes Software, and for those with the rigs, will support 4K resolution. The download-only release will be available in three versions: standard for $59.99, Digital Deluxe edition (with Season Pass) for $89.99, and Collector’s Edition (with Season Pass, 12-inch Lara Croft statue, replica of Lara’s journal and necklace, and steel case) for $149.99 from Square Enix’s online store.

And squeezed in at the end is a snippet of new combat footage from Kingdom Hearts III.

Lightning Returns hits Steam, Final Fantasy VI launching next week

Square Enix is adding two more Final Fantasy titles to Steam, Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Final Fantasy VI. Lightning Returns is available today for $15.99, and includes graphic options for high-end systems plus all downloadable content from the console version, save for ‘Final Fantasy VII Aerith Costume’. Final Fantasy VI is scheduled to go live on December 16 for $15.99, but early buyers can currently purchase it for 10% off. The story follows the mysterious Terra Branford as she uncovers her past. The PC version will feature support for Steam achievements and trading cards.

Avalanche Studios’ latest open-world explosionfest Just Cause 3 is now available for PC, PS4, and Xbox One. The Square Enix-published title continues the series’ tradition of pitting players against a ruthless dictator, in this case General Di Ravell of Medici. As Rico Rodriguez, players are tasked with causing as much mayhem as possible in the republic’s 400 square miles in order to topple the regime. Final Fantasy XI final big update launched, Seekers of Adoulin

Square Enix is capping off 14 years of Final Fantasy XI with one final update. Seekers of Adoulin adds a new area, Reisenjima, where players will battle to secure Vana’diel. To celebrate, all accounts inactive as of October 23 will be able to play the ending chapter for free from November 13 through 24, and all previous releases are also being discounted. The Seekers of Adoulin expansion pack will be $4.99 (from $9.99) and the all-in-one Ultimate Collection Seekers Edition will be $9.99 (from $39.99) from tomorrow until November 30. Nier: Automata officially named, trailer and screenshots released

Square Enix has announced that the untitled Nier project revealed during E3 has been officially titled Nier: Automata. A new trailer and batch of screenshots were released from the title’s recent presentation at Paris Games Week. The collaboration with PlatinumGames will put players in the role of 2B, a battle android with the YoRHa automated infantry squad. Her assignment is to defeat an army of machines that have forced humanity to flee Earth and seek shelter on the moon. To accomplish her mission, she has access to a sword for close-range combat and a Pod support system to battle ranged enemies. As she progresses, the truth about the origins of the struggle will be revealed.
