A new gameplay trailer and nearly 20 screenshots have been released from Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls. The action spin-off from the popular visual novel series is set to come out later this summer, and the latest media shows off the murderous Warriors of Hope. The diminutive cult is ridding Towa City of adults in order to make it a paradise for kids, forcing the trapped Komaru Naegi and Toko Fukawa to fight their way out of the chaos.

Bandai Namco has announced the release of J-Stars Victory VS+. The Spike Chunsoft-developed brawler features 32 characters from across the Shonen Jump and V-Jump lines, including Bleach, Dragon Ball Z, Fist of the North Star, and Naruto. A Story mode, featuring levels from a variety of the included properties, is joined by a two-versus-two Online Battle mode and, exclusive to this version, a team-versus-team Arcade mode.

NIS has announced that Danganronpa Another Episode: Ultra Despair Girls will be hitting store shelves and PSN on September 1. Coinciding with the news is the first batch of localized screenshots, as well as a new trailer. Ultra Despair Girls takes a turn away from the visual-novel style of the first two games and is instead an action title that follows Komaru Naegi and Toko Fukawa. The two must escape Towa, a city overrun by despair … and hundreds of Monokumas.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon grabs its kit and heads out to retail, eShop

After weeks of class reveals, Atlus has released the adventurers of Etrian Mystery Dungeon to set out on their labyrinth-filled journey. The action-heavy dungeon crawler is a combination of two different styles, with the class and progression systems of Etrian Odyssey and the perspective and combat of Mystery Dungeon. Players must take a four-party band into randomly generating dungeons in order to find out what’s behind the recent increase in monster attacks. Also available today are five downloadable items that are free until May 7 as well as a .99 3DS theme. As a reminder, all launch copies come packed with a soundtrack sampler with six rough cuts, a 28-page art-and-info booklet, and a slip cover.

Atlus releases final, full trailer for Etrian Mystery Dungeon

A week out from release and Atlus has released the final trailer for Etrian Mystery Dungeon. It’s a quick video that gives a brief overview of the town and dungeons. But for those wanting to see more, or to catch up on recent announcements, check out the trailer and screenshot combos for the various classes: Dancer, Gunner, Hexer, Landsknecht, Medic, Ninja, Protector, Runemaster, Sovereign, and Wanderer. A premium 3DS theme was also released on eShop today for $0.99, and can be seen in action here.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon free and for-pay DLC detailed, media released

Atlus has more in store for Etrian Mystery Dungeon than another character reveal with news about upcoming free and for-pay DLC. From release date until May 5, buyers will be able to download five new quests for free, with each requiring that players track down missing adventurers. After May 5, the quests will cost either $1.49 or $1.99. Details for each are available below. A paid theme will also be available on March 31; the $0.99 download, demonstrated here, will feature scrolling 3D and hand-drawn character art, custom folders, and the theme song. And of course, a new trailer was released along with new screenshots for the latest class reveal, the Wanderer. These sword-wielders are experts at attacking animals, clearing paths, and escaping dungeons, capable of getting the party to safety without sacrificing their items.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon gets fancy with the highfalutin Sovereign

Etrian Mystery Dungeon’s Sovereign class makes its debut today. Following the Ninja with a new batch of screenshots and a new trailer, the Sovereign wears heavy armor, allowing for them to take large amounts of damage, and bestows buffs on their fellow party members. Sounds like a Bard-style tank—a winning combination.

After spending an appropriate amount of time lurking in the shadows, the Ninja is ready to make its Etrian Mystery Dungeon debut. Ninja focus on weakening and confusing enemies with the ability to create a copy of themselves as well as bind and trick their foes. Their increased agility allows them to take advantage of an encumbered enemy and deliver heavy damage. Plus they are awesome. Fact. Well, in general, hopefully in the game, too.
