Akaneiro: Demon Hunters isn’t slowing Spicy Horse down. The American McGee-lead studio has announced a new hybrid collectible card game/real-time strategy game, Hell Invaders. Currently scheduled for Linux, Mac, Windows, and tablets, Hell Invaders—working title, note—will feature creatures battling it out in 3D using upgrade and skill cards. A single-player campaign, player-versus-player arenas, and a social aspect with card management and trading are also planned.

Akaneiro: Demon Hunters, the latest action-RPG from Spicy Horse Games, has launched for PC. A mishmash of Japanese folklore and Little Red Riding Hood, Akaneiro sets players loose to hunt monsters using swords and spells over 20 maps set in Edo-era Japan. Linux and mobile users will get a chance to slay beasts as well if the game’s ongoing Kickstarter campaign is fully funded.

Spicy Horse has announced that their upcoming action-RPG Akaneiro: Demon Hunters has been Greenlit by the Steam community, and that they have extended the open beta to January 22. The studio noted that the longer open beta period will allow for additional tweaking as well as ensure that those just finding out about the title, both Steam users and those now following its Kickstarter campaign, get some hands-on time. Spicy Horse hopes to launch on Steam later this month.

Spicy Horse Games’ upcoming action-RPG Akaneiro: Demon Hunters, a monster-bashing mishmash of Little Red Riding Hood and Japanese folklore, has entered open beta. Gamers looking to free Edo-era Japan of all manner of evil creatures need to head to the official site and fill out the form. The open beta will run until January 16. Spicy Horse also unveiled shots of two new locations, Ghostclaw Caverns and The Temple Road.
