Drox Operative – first batch of screenshots released
Soldak, developers of Depths of Pearl and Din’s Curse, has released some new shots from their upcoming title, Drox Operative. The space-based role-playing game will feature evolving galaxies, co-op multiplayer, and a massive galaxy-wide war. Players assume the role of a Drox Operative, a gun for hire who only wants for two things: more weapons and more credits.

Astronaut: Moon, Mars and Beyond donor contest announced
We mentioned NASA’s Kickstarter-funded MMO Astronaut: Moon, Mars and Beyond a few weeks back, and since then, the project has surpassed its goal of $25,000. The drive still has a few days to go, and to celebrate its successful run (over $40,000 pledged so far), a new contest has been announced. Fifty winners will be randomly selected out of all donors to receive a free copy of the upcoming title Project Moonwalk.

Futuremark needs beta testers’ help against the Unstoppable Gorg
Futuremark needs you. The studio is looking for PC gamers to help them test out their upcoming tower defense-style title, Unstoppable Gorg. Inspired by sci-fi films from the days when men in costumes were super-powered Venusians, players must protect our solar system from the Gorg using a series of satellites. Soldak announces new PC RPG, Drox Operative
Soldak, the indie studio known for their popular action-RPGs Din’s Curse and Depths of Peril, has announced a new title: Drox Operative. Tentatively scheduled to release during the first quarter of 2012, Drox Operative is a space-faring action-RPG that will pit players against alien races in a dynamic, evolving galaxy alone as well as with friends in co-op multiplayer.

Astronaut: Moon, Mars and Beyond – beta announced, Kickstarted
NASA does some pretty awesome stuff, the least of which being sending people into outer space. For those of us who won’t be floating amongst the stars anytime soon, the agency has decided to bring the experience home in a new MMO, Astronaut: Moon, Mars and Beyond. Set in 2035, players will take to the heavens and explore Mars, the asteroid belt, and the outer planets as well as encounter a threat to civilization. While not funding the project directly, NASA is developing the title “in accordance with a “Space Act Agreement” with NASA Learning Technologies by Project Whitecard and Wisdom Tools” and using a Kickstarter campaign to help finance the beta.
