Ace Combat Infinity, the series’ first free-to-play entry, passed the one-million-download mark during May, according to Bandai Namco. To celebrate, Project Aces will gift every player who checks their notification about the commemoration before August 18 a free special aircraft, the Mirage 2000-5 -White Tiger-. The studio’s other free-to-play title, Soulcalibur Lost Swords, also surpassed one million downloads. A One Million Download Campaign was kicked off in honor of the milestone, and from July 9 to 23, players will be able to battle through a new campaign as well as take on special quests to unlock Ivy, Astaroth, and gift items.
Bandai Namco has announced a slew of new titles across all platforms. Some of the highlights include the development of Grid Autosport for 360, PC, and PS3, the localization of both Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment and Tales of Hearts R for PS Vita, and details about Tales of Xillia 2’s $130 Collector’s Edition. Additional info about each of those, and more, can be found below. We’ve also posted some new screenshots from the free-to-play PSN release Ace Combat Infinity, the PC version of Dark Souls II, and JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure All-Star Battle for PS3.
Hilde, the embattled heir to the Kingdom of Wolfkrone, will be returning to Soulcalibur this spring with the launch of the free-to-play Lost Swords. Last seen in Soulcalibur V, a handful of new screenshots were released showing her in action as she continues on her quest to destroy Soul Edge and secure her realm.
Namco Bandia has released the first round of screenshots from their upcoming free-to-play fighter Soulcalibur Lost Swords. The singleplayer-only download will feature a handful of new abilities, and the shots show a few of these in action: the Soul Break moves that can break armor, the powerful Weapon Arts attacks, and the Character Support system, which allows players to call in friends’ characters to give them a hand.
Namco Bandai is expanding their line of free-to-play titles later this year with Soulcalibur Lost Swords. Lost Swords, along with Ace Combat Infinity, Ridge Racer Driftopia, and Tekken Revolution, will be a free download via PSN for PlayStation 3. In Lost Swords, players will be able to utilize a new forging system to craft elemental-based weapons from discovered items as well as those scavenged from defeated opponents. Unlike most free-to-play titles, Lost Swords will be single-player only.
