Only On PSN program kicks off with discount, God Hand, and more
Sony has kicked off the “Only On PlayStation Network” program today, which includes a discount on PSN titles as well as a packed release schedule. Every Tuesday for the month of October, PSN users will be able to download new titles and DLC, including indie Pub Fund’ers Eufloria and Okabu. As an added bonus, PlayStation Plus subscribers will receive a 20% discount during the program’s launch week, and non-Plus users will get $10 in store credit when they spend $60 on anything from games and add-ons to TV shows and Plus/Music Unlimited subscriptions throughout the month. A handful of PS2 titles were also added to kick things off: God Hand, GrimGrimoire, Maximo: Ghosts to Glory, Odin Sphere, and Ring of Red.

Payday: The Heist hits a snag, gets pushed back
Sony Online’s PC and PSN squad-based first-person shooter Payday: The Heist has been slightly delayed. Originally scheduled to launch on October 4, Sony has announced that The Heist will now be released “later this month” – not too bad. Would-be Point Breakers can grab The Heist on release for $19.99.

Rochard goes prospectin’ on PSN
Sony Online has launched Recoil Games’ Rochard, a “puzzle-platforming, astro-mining action adventure.” Voiced by Jon St. John, Duke Nukem himself, John Rochard is an astro miner who stumbles upon an ancient alien artifact while prospecting in an asteroid. Shortly after the discovery, his team is kidnapped by space pirates and must be rescued using the only tool he has, the gravity-defying G-Lifter.

ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection now available
The highly anticipated ICO & Shadow of the Colossus Collection has hit store shelves for the PS3. The $39.99 compilation includes revamped and enhanced versions of both Fumito Ueda-developed action-platformers, which now sport 1080p HD visuals, an improved frame rate, and support for trophies, 7.1 surround sound, and stereoscopic 3D. In addition, there are extra goodies included on the disc, such as dynamic themes and bonus video content. Amongst the video content are interviews and a sneak peak at Ueda’s follow-up to Shadow of the Colossus, The Last Guardian.

DC Universe Online going free-to-play for PC and PS3
Sony Online’s DC Universe Online has done a switcheroo from a premium to-play service to a free-to-play’er. The MMO will make the change in late October, when PC and PS3 gamers will be able to download and access the game for free. In addition to the Free tier, there will also be a Premium version and a Legendary version for those wanting extra benefits. All levels will have access to the world and missions, as well as game updates and fixes.

God of War: Origins Collection now available for PS3
PlayStation 3 owners will get a chance to try the PlayStation Portable God of War titles for the first time today, or enjoy them again in 1080p with stereoscopic 3D support, with God of War: Origins Collection. Origins Collections brings together both Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta in one updated package, complete with full-screen anti-aliasing and a steady 60 frames per second frame rate, for $39.99.

Resistance 3 on store shelves, DLC announced
Insomniac Games’ Resistance 3 is now available for the PS3. Set four years after Resistance 2, the third entry into the long-running series features an alternate 1950′s America that is occupied by the Chimera. Joseph Capelli returns from the second release as the last remaining Sentinel who must reverse the Chimar’s terraforming program. As the Earth slowly changes around him, Capelli strikes out in one last attempt to reverse mankind’s fortunes by trekking from his home in Oklahoma to meet up with scientist Dr. Fyodor Malikov in New York.
