Sega releases launch trailer for AM2 fighters

Sega has released a new trailer for the three AM2 fighters that were recently released on Live Arcade and PSN, Fighting Vipers, Sonic the Fighters, and Virtua Fighter 2. The brawlers are available for $4.99/400 MS Points each and have been updated to support online play.

Sega continues to harken back to the days of yore with three upcoming re-releases from their famed AM2 division: Fighting Vipers, Sonic the Fighters, and Virtua Fighter 2. The trio is set to launch on PSN on November 27 and on Live Arcade on November 28 for $4.99/400 MS Points. Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II launches, mobile release dated

Sonic continues his fourth episode today with the launch of Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode II on PSN and Steam, and will be spin dashing onto Live Arcade tomorrow. The 1200 MS Point/$14.99 adventure will see Sonic and Tales battling old foes Doctor Robotnik and Metal Sonic. As a bonus, gamers who own both Episode I and II on the same platform will unlock the extra Metal Sonic addition, Episode Metal. Metal Sonic’s portion is comprised of four reworked acts from Episode I and details how he survived the end of Sonic CD.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 to get Episode II and Episode Metal in May

Sonic the Hedgehog 4 will be expanding on May 15 (PSN) and 16 (Live) with Episode II and a new unlockable story, Episode Metal. The new episode will be 1200 MS Points/$14.99, and for those who already own Episode I, a new four-level expansion featuring Metal Sonic will be available for play. Players will take Metal Sonic through reworked Acts from Episode I and help him prepare for his upcoming battle with Sonic in Episode II.

Sega is firmly planting the Sonic flag on the PC today with a number of releases featuring everyone’s favorite blue hedgehog. Sonic Generations is first up, with a new level available for download, the Casino Night Pinball Stage. Also available today is Sonic CD, a remake of the 1993 Sega CD original that sees Sonic battling Metal Sonic. And lastly, Sonic the Hedgehog 4 Episode I has also launched, with Episode II set for release later this year.

For everyone who still has their original pack-in Sonic for their Genesis from years ago, it’s a time to remember, my god, I am really getting old. Thankfully Sega isn’t as much of a downer as we are, and they are celebrating the blue bomber’s birthday properly with a 20-day 360 and PS3 demo for the upcoming Sonic Generations, featuring Green Hill in the original 2D form and new 3d redesign, as well as a slew of sales with price reductions from 30% to 50% off.
