Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 released, Call of Duty Elite a go
After shattering pre-order records, including those set by its predecessors, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is now on store shelves. Co-developed by Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, Modern Warfare 3 is a continuation of 2009′s Modern Warfare 2, Black Ops being something of a side story, which sees the world edging towards World War III. While the single-player campaign continues the series’ thematic tradition of all-out war with a new Survival Mode, multiplayer is being beefed up with a revamped pointstreak system, new Strike Packages, new weapons, new equipment, and new modes, including Kill Confirmed.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 – box art revealed
Call of Duty fans chomping at the bit to see how Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer are going to handle the follow-up to Black Ops will have to wait a bit, but until then, Activision has released the box art. Check back soon for more info.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 dated, fall targeted
With Black Ops still going strong, Activision has announced that the next installment in the Call of Duty franchise will be hitting store shelves this fall. Currently in development at Infinity Ward and Sledgehammer Games, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be hitting store shelves—and crushing records, Live, and PSN shortly thereafter—on November 8.
