Call of Duty returns to 1940s this November with Call of Duty: WWII

Beginning on November 3, players will once again re-deploy throughout the battlefields of Europe in Call of Duty: WWII. The story will find players trekking across multiple fronts as members of the 1st Infantry Division, experiencing “gritty realism, authenticity and cinematic intensity on an epic scale.” Multiplayer will feature a narrative-driven mode with the ability to create a class, a Headquarters to socialize with other players, and maps set throughout Europe. Nazi Zombies will also return with a standalone storyline. PS4 pre-orders will receive access to the Private Beta, which is set for later this year. In addition to the standard edition, players can pre-order the $99.99 Digital Deluxe Edition with the Season Pass or the $99.99 Pro Edition with the Season Pass and a SteelBook case.

Call of Duty: WWII in development at Sledgehammer

Activision has officially revealed that Call of Duty will be going back in time with the next entry, Call of Duty: WWII. Players can find out more when developer Sledgehammer Games shows what they have in store during a worldwide reveal livestream on Wednesday, April 26. Studio co-heads Michael Condrey and Glen Schofield will be guiding viewers through a first look and detail their plans for the game. The event will kick off at noon CallofDuty.com.

Call of Duty XP 2016 detailed, hands-on with Infinite Warfare, events

Activision is preparing to open ticket sales for Call of Duty XP 2016, “the biggest Call of Duty fan event in history.” Running from September 2-4 in Los Angeles, the Call of Duty World League will host the final teams for $2 million in prizes at the Call of Duty World League Championship. The event will also feature hands-on demos of Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered multiplayer,and new downloadable content for Call of Duty: Black Ops III. There will also be exhibits, developer panels, a surprise musical guest, paintball in a life-sized replica of Black Ops’ Nuketown map, Zombies laser tag, and the first Call of Duty VR experience that will include piloting a Jackal. Tickets will go on sale at noon (CST) on June 11 for $49, $129, and $199. Full details are below. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare – Havoc to launch Feb. 26 for PC, PS

PC and PlayStation gamers will be able to download Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare’s first DLC pack, Havoc, on February 26. The inaugural add-on features four multiplayer maps (Core, Drift, Sideshow, and Urban), the AE4 energy assault rifle, the AE4 Widowmaker variant, and most importantly, Exo Zombies. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Exo Zombies gameplay trailer up

A new gameplay trailer has launched for Exo Zombies, one of the additions from the upcoming Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare DLC pack Havoc. The gameplay clip runs a little over two minutes and features the latest actors to join the series, including Bill Paxton and John Malkovich, mixing it up with a variety of exo-suit-powered zombies and mutant dogs. The Havoc pack is set to launch first for Xbox on January 27.

Call of Duty Championship, presented by Xbox kicking off March 27

Activision and Xbox have announced details for the third annual Call of Duty Championship. The event will take place from March 27 to 29 in Los Angeles between the 32 teams from around in the world in a tournament to be crowned World Champions. A $1 million prize purse is at stake, and the final match will be live streamed on Xbox Live. Qualifying matches will be played online using Xbox One systems and broadcast on MLG.tv. Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Day Zero Edition extras detailed

Activision has detailed the Day Zero Edition of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. This version is slated to go live online and hit store shelves on November 3, ahead of the traditional Tuesday launch, and will come with several bonuses. The entire day will offer double experience during online play, and players will have access to two custom weapons (AK-12G Assault Rifle and Crossbow-B2) and the Advanced Arsenal, which includes a Bullet Brass Exoskeleton and EM1 Quantum Directed Energy Weapon. Gamers who go the digital route will receive the same bonuses, and those who buy the PS3 or Xbox 360 version will be eligible for a free digital upgrade to a PS4 or Xbox One version. The only restrictions on the digital upgrade are that it must be within the same console family and purchased prior to March 31.
