Sega has announced that their upcoming 3DS RPG 7th Dragon III Code: VFD will be available in stores and eShop on July 12. Additionally, a new character-creation video has also gone live highlighting the dozens of voice options and physical customization options—96 in total—available for each of the party’s nine characters. Of course, the most important decision is the character’s class, and all eight were recently named: Agent, Banisher, Duelist, Fortuner, God Hand, Mage, Rune Knight, and Samurai.

Sega has released a video for the upcoming PS4 version, Valkyria Chronicles Remastered, detailing the events leading up to the Second Europan War and the current conflict between the Empire and Gallia. The trailer details the Empire’s army as well as the members that make up the player’s forces, Squad 7.

Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X coming to PS4, PS Vita this fall

Sega will be bringing Hatsune back to North America later this year. The digital singer will return this fall in a new title for PS4 and PS Vita, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva X. The rhythm title will feature a world made up of five Clouds that will offer challenges designed around different auras: classic, cool, cute, elegant, and quirky. There will be 30 new and old songs, around 300 costumes, which will affect how players perform in challenges, and a new Concert Editor that adds the role of producer. As producer, players will be able to customize shows by selecting the band’s playlists, modules, and accessories.

Yakuza 0 launching early 2017, new trailer released

Sega has released a new trailer for Yakuza 0. The video coincides with the announcement that the game is also heading to Europe as well as a few clarifications: only the PS4 version is being translated, the game will be available both physically and digitally, and the release is a Sega initiative. Lastly, a rough launch window was revealed for early 2017. For those wanting to check out the latest release, Yakuza 5 is now on sale for 25% off on PSN through April 5.

Sega has released a new video from 7th Dragon III Code: VFD giving an overview of the three different eras that will be visited by players. As the hero’s team takes advantage of Nodens Enterprises’ time-traveling technology to track down True Dragons, they will visit the ancient past, present, and future. Aside from modern Tokyo—well, modern as in 2100—players will go back to ancient Atlantis, with its dangerous lower wards and skilled blacksmiths, and futuristic Eden, a bleak land home three areas.

Taito-themed DLC now available for Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours

Degica has announced that their Taito-themed DLC for Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours has gone live on Steam and PSN. Additionally, the Sega-themed packs are scheduled to launch on April 7. The Taito pack includes craft, remixed music, and levels from three different titles: Metal Black, Night Striker, and RayForce. The Sega pack will also feature craft, remixed music, and levels from three different games: Fantasy Star, Galaxy Force II, and Space Harrier. Note that downloadable ships are only playable in downloadable levels. The Taito drops are priced at $4.99 each or $11.99 for a bundle of all three.

Valkyria Chronicles Remastered releasing May 17, combat trailer up

Valkyria Chronicles Remastered will be deploying on May 17, according to Sega. The re-release will feature updated visuals for 1080p at 60fps, improved textures, Trophy support, dual language tracks, and all downloadable content. A new combat trailer has also gone live. Degica has announced a new trio of downloadable content add-ons for Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours. In addition to the three previously announced Taito-themed packs, the studio has revealed that three more will be added for various Sega shooters. The Sega set will include ships, levels, and remixed music based on Fantasy Zone, Galaxy Force II, and Space Harrier. The Taito packs, based on Metal Black, Night Striker, and RayForce, is scheduled to go live on March 17. The packs will be available individually for $4.99 or as three-pack bundles for $11.99. Videos for the Taito packs have been made available as well, and posted below.
