Ubisoft has announced that they will be launching Far Cry 4’s latest downloadable pack, Valley of the Yetis, tomorrow. After players crash-land in Kyrat, a new region added by the expansion, they must set up and defend a camp against a murderous cult known as the The Awakened Ones as well as against the wild yetis that roam the area. The game utilizes a day-and-night cycle, with players undertaking side quests during the day to fortify the camp and fend off attackers at night. By exploring more of Kyrat, players will uncover the cult’s secrets.

Grand Theft Auto Online to get new modes with Heists update

Rockstar has revealed the new content additions that are set to go live with Heists next week for GTA Online. The online component will receive additional Daily Objectives, Free Mode Activities, and new Adversary Modes. The latter will unlock as players clear Heists, and include Come Out To Play, with three runners trying to make it home before hunters track them down; Siege Mentality, which pits four defenders against six attackers; and Hasta La Vista, a race between cyclists and homicidal truckers. A new universal email notification system will also be implemented, allowing players to reach friends in other sessions, in addition to new Awards and rewards.

Rockstar releases 15 new screens from Grand Theft Auto V for PC

Rockstar has released over a dozen new screenshots from the PC version of Grand Theft Auto V. The studio also announced another digital pre-order bonus, with PC gamers getting the chance to score $300,000 of in-game cash for Grand Theft Auto Online by ordering the digital version from Rockstar Warehouse and other outlets. For those who have already pre-ordered either the physical or digital version, that is in addition to the $1.2 million already on offer.

GTA Online getting Heists on March 10, PC GTAV releasing April 14

Rockstar has announced that Heists will be added to GTA Online on March 10. Heists have long been in the works, and when released, will allow for up to four players to team up for multi-part raids and robberies. More info should be available soon, including details on other new content currently in the works. The studio also revealed that the PC version of GTAV has been pushed back from March 24 to April 14, with the reason behind the delay being that “a bit more time is needed to ensure that the game is as polished as possible, and to make certain that both Heists and the GTA Online experience are ready to roll out on day one for PC.” To hold players over, nearly a dozen new Heist screenshots were released to showcase the upcoming mode.

A new downloadable pack has gone live for Far Cry 4, Overrun. The add-on adds Overrun, a new player-versus-player mode that tasks teams with taking and holding one of three zones; four new maps; and a new vehicle, the dune buggy. And as part of a general update, the map editor’s functionality has also been expanded to allow for all created maps to be playable in co-op.

New The Long Dark update adds new region, wildlife, and more

Hinterland Studio has updated the Early Access version of their exploration- and survival-themed sandbox sim The Long Dark. The latest patch adds the rural mountain region Pleasant Valley, new wildlife (unspecified until discovered by players), harvestable plants, a new inventory interface, the ability to use torches to scare off wolves, and improved wildlife AI. Some of the general improvements include predators being attracted to the smell of blood, wind speed and direction affecting scent, and smoke wafting in the direction of the wind. Sony Online has announced that their zombie-themed survival title H1Z1 has launched on Steam Early Access. Available in two packages, digital survivalists can download the standard edition for $19.99 or the premium edition for $39.99. The standard edition includes early access, three event tickets, two crates, and one crate key, while the premium edition includes 25 Event Tickets, three Airdrop Tickets, six Crates, four Crate Keys, and an exclusive Aviator Hat Crafting Recipe.

Screenshots and specs released for PC version of Grand Theft Auto V

Some news out of Rockstar HQ today for PC gamers looking to take a trip to Los Santos. The studio has revealed that Grand Theft Auto V’s official launch date is now March 24. They also released the first PC-only screenshots as well as the system specs, all of which can be found below. The PC version will run at 1080p and 60fps with support for up to 4K resolution, and for those with multiple monitors, support for up to three at a time. And of course, the Rockstar Editor will be included for creating, editing, and publishing game clips as well as access to Grand Theft Auto Online. Heists, which will be available soon for the console versions of GTA Online, will be ready out the gate for the PC version.

Heists emerge in new Grand Theft Auto Online screenshots, trailer

Heists have been an eagerly awaited addition to Grand Theft Auto Online, and today, Rockstar has revealed a bit more about their plans. The four-player, multi-tiered Heists are currently scheduled to be added to Grand Theft Auto Online in early 2015 for all versions across console and PC. The mode will also bring with it new weapons, clothing, and vehicles. Over a dozen screenshots have also been posted, which, along with the trailer, should give would-be robbers a good look at what’s in store for next year.
