Spiders Studio releases four new screens from Mars War Logs
Spiders Studio has released a handful of new screenshots from their upcoming cyberpunk role-playing game Mars War Logs. Slated to launch for 360, PC, and PS3 later this year, the screens reveal Devotion Chase, a trusted confidant of general Honour Grant, a leader in the ongoing civil war, and one of the many who is on the hunt for the game’s protagonist, Roy.

Black Rock Shooter The Game launching this month on PSN for PSP
A new role-playing game from Imageepoch and NIS America is set to launch on PSN for PSP later this month. Black Rock Shooter The Game, set to be released on April 23, follows the battle android BRS in her battle against invading aliens. The game begins during the waning years of a 19-year-long war, when there are only 12 humans left on Earth for her to protect.

Deus Ex: Human Revolution – Director’s Cut detailed, trailer released
Square Enix has released a new trailer for the upcoming Director’s Cut of Deus Ex: Human Revolution, as well as a host of details about the many (many) improvements that are in store. The full details are available below, but some of the highlights include redesigned boss fights, which will feature new map layouts and tweaks to allow for non-violent victories; an improved energy-charging system so augments can be used more frequently; eight hours of director’s commentary; a 45-minute making-of movie; direct play via the GamePad; and the integration of the Missing Link DLC. The downside? It’s not coming out until next year.

Chaos Rings available for Windows Phone, Final Fantasy V for iOS
Square Enix has two new releases for the mobile market, Chaos Rings and Final Fantasy V. Chaos Rings, a brawl between couples who fight for immortality, is available for Windows Phone, specifically 7.5 (8.0 will be supported at a later date). Final Fantasy V’s mobile release has been updated with a new character, the gladiator Cannoneer; two new jobs, Oracle and Necromancer; and Game Center support. Final Fantasy V is available for iOS 4.3 or later for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

Final Fantasy III launches for Ouya
Final Fantasy III is now available for the Ouya. The new Android-powered console is being shipped out to the many Kickstarter backers but will be available in stores to the general public this June for $99.99. For those who get their systems early, Square Enix has announced that a new version of Final Fantasy III is on offer with several console-specific updates, including improved graphics and optimized controls. For those on the fence, a demo is also available.

Larian turning to Kickstarter to expand Divinity: Original Sin
Larian joins the growing list of studios who are turning to Kickstarter for funding. The campaign isn’t for Dragon Commander, though, but a new open-world RPG set in the Divinity universe titled Divinity: Original Sin. Things are a little different this time as Larian has been self-funding the game’s development for over two years, and is utilizing Kickstarter to “enhance” the game during its final phase. The extra funds raised will be used to create a secondary design team who will “increase the amount of interesting things you can do in the world, as much as possible” and “increase the depth and diversity.”

Terraria now available on Live Arcade and PSN
Re-Logic’s PC adventure-RPG Terraria is now available for 360 and PS3. The 505 Games-published port features random events, crafting, world-building elements, and AI characters who will move into player-created structures. The console adaptation includes new single-player content and new multiplayer modes that support up to four players online or locally via splitscreen.

Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster announcement trailer released
As mentioned last week, Square Enix has released the first footage of the upcoming Final Fantasy X re-release, Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster. The announcement trailer features Tidus, Yuna, and the crew adventuring around Spira.

Terraria launching next week on Live and PSN
505 Games has revealed that the console version of Terraria will be launching next week, first on PSN and then on Live. The PS3 version will launch March 26, and the 360 version a day later, on March 27. The console adaptation will include new single-player content and new multiplayer modes, with support for four-player local splitscreen and four-player online play.

Final Fantasy X and X-2 HD editions announced for PS3, PS Vita
Final Fantasy X and Final Fantasy X-2 will be making their return later this year as HD remastered editions for PS3 and PS Vita. The set will be available as a single-disc release (Final Fantasy X/X-2 HD Remaster) for PS3 and individually (Final Fantasy X HD Remaster, Final Fantasy X-2 HD Remaster) for PS Vita, the latter most likely being due to size issues in regards to PSN.
