Cyanide Studio releases new Call of Cthulhu trailer for E3

The Sleeper of R’lyeh nears in a new trailer for Call of Cthulhu. The upcoming procedural role-playing game puts players in the shoes of private investigator Edward Pierce. His latest assignment is a case involving the death of a family on Darkwater Island. As he gets to know the strange locals and bizarre environs, his sanity will start the slip, as his investigation draws him closer to Cthulhu.

E3 2017: Atlus/Sega – Yakuza, Etrian Odyssey, Shin Megami, more

Atlus and Sega have compiled a handy list of their upcoming titles, complete with trailers and descriptions. All of these have been previously announced, with the latest being Atlus’ big three: Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology, and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux. E3 2017: Bandai Namco – Dragon Ball, Ni no Kuni, Ace Combat

This year’s E3 saw Bandai Namco bring along some of their biggest upcoming releases as well as a surprise from Arc System Works. Pillar franchise Ace Combat got a new trailer and screenshots for its seventh entry, while recent hit Ni no Kuni’s upcoming sequel, Revenant Kingdom, was officially dated for November 10. The studio also revealed a recent project with Arc System Works that sees them entering the brawler market, Dragon Ball FighterZ. The Marvel vs. Capcom-style fighter is set to launch early next year and looks to be shaping up nicely. Recent reveal Code Vein was also own shown, also receiving a new trailer for the show.

E3 2017 – Bethesda: Wolfenstein II, Dishonored, Skyrim NS, VR

Bethesda had a strong showing with support for a number of their popular franchises. They also revealed an initiative that encompasses several of them, Creation Club. The system is for Fallout 4 and Skyrim and is set to offer curated, free mods for players and cash for creators. Other reveals include Dishonored: Death of the Outsider, Doom VFR, Skyrim for Switch, The Evil Within 2, and Wolfenstein: The New Colossus. Check below for release dates, screens, and trailers.

Atlus reveals new Etrian Odyssey, Radiant Historia, and SMT

A busy day at Atlus HQ! In one email, the company has revealed several highly anticipated titles. In addition to word that they will be localizing Etrian Odyssey V: Beyond the Myth, the studio also revealed that they are bringing over Radiant Historia: Perfect Chronology and Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux. Etrian Odyssey V is set to release later this year, and will continue the series tradition of map making, party maximizing, and first-person dungeon crawling. Scenarios will also require making important decisions at key points. Radiant Historia is launching later, in 2018, and is an enhanced port of the 2011 DS original. The time-traveling adventure is being expanded with a third timeline with episodic what-if scenarios, options to play added content during or after the original story, and revamped presentation (new character art, voice overs, music, and intro). Also set for a 2018 release is Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey Redux. This updated port will add extra endings, more story content with a new character, a new dungeon, interface tweaks, and updated graphics. Trailers and screenshots for all can be found below.

The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind now available for console, PC

Role-playing gamers can now dive into The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind. The expansion is noted to add over 30 hours of story content, along with the nature-magic-based Warden playable class, fast-paced player-versus-player Battlegrounds mode, and a 12-player Trial. Of course, the biggest addition—literally, as it’s the largest zone added since launch—is Vvardenfell Island. Morrowind fans will get to see the island 700 years prior to the events of The Elder Scrolls III. New players can head straight to the island, tackling the original ESO content at any time, while current players can head there with a quick upgrade for their character or try it as a new Warden.

May update adds community photos, recipe to Final Fantasy XV

Square Enix has released the May update for Final Fantasy XV. The free download adds a recipe that was voted on by players from Taiwan, Stinky Tofu, and winning community photos that can be found in the Hammerhead restaurant. The team also added an in-game survey to get feedback on future updates and downloadable packs. Looking ahead, beginning next Tuesday, players can grab the freebie Trendy Outfit for Noctis off Live and PSN.

Divinity: Original Sin 2 officially dated for September 14

Divinity: Original Sin’s expansive follow-up will be released before the summer is out. Larian Studios has revealed that Divinity: Original Sin 2 launch online and in stores on September 14. The sequel will feature Game Master and player-versus-player modes at release, allowing players to create tabletop-style adventures or battle against one another in an arena. To celebrate the announcement, Larian has released a patch for the Steam Early Access version. Early buyers can now access two additional areas, try out a new companion relationship system, and experiment with updated character-creation and item-crafting mechanics. Star Ocean: Till the End of Time returns to PlayStation, now on PSN

It’s time to take a trip back to 2004 today with the release of Star Ocean: Till the End of Time for PS4. The PS2 role-playing game has been updated with support for trophies, share functionality, and remote play. Players once again guide Fayt in his search for his family and childhood friend Sophia after being separated during a military invasion while on vacation. An intro video from the game’s producer, Shuichi Kobayashi, as well as the launch trailer can be found below.

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time headed to PSN on May 23 for PS4

Star Ocean will be taking a trip to the past for the next installment, a re-release of Till the End of Time. The 2002 PlayStation 2 entry is receiving a sprucing up with support for trophies, share functionality, and remote play. Till the End of Time follows childhood friends Fayt Leingod and Sophia Esteed “as they discover the greatest secret in the Star Ocean universe.”
