Bard’s Tale IV backers of $20 or more to get Bard’s Tale trilogy

inXile is adding even more extras to the reward tiers for their ongoing Kickstarter campaign for The Bard’s Tale IV. Now, everyone who pledges at least $20 will receive the original trilogy for free: The Bard’s Tale, The Bard’s Tale II: The Destiny Knight, and The Bard’s Tale III: Thief of Fate. Emulated versions of the games will be sent to backers after the campaign has ended. The studio also announced that they have reached an agreement with Bard’s Tale III programmer Rebecca “Burger” Heineman to update the Apple IIGS versions of each to run on modern Windows and Mac PCs, which will also be free to backers.

Bethesda has released The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited for PS4 and Xbox One. The MMO, set in the world made famous by Morrowind and Skyrim, has recently transitioned from a subscription-based to a single-purchase model, with $59.99 buying the original game along with all content updates and additions. However, the game does feature optional in-game purchases for customization and convenience items. An ESO Plus subscription is also on offer for those who want access to all downloadable content packs, exclusive in-game perks, and a monthly stipend of crowns. GOG.com kicks off 2015 DRM-Free Summer Sale

GOG.com is jumping the gun on summer by launching their 2015 DRM-Free Summer Sale today. The event will include free games, daily bundles, giveaways, and themed discounts. This year, the service will be offering rewards for games purchased, and buyers have the chance to score three free games. Everyone who spends at least $1 will receive a free copy of SimCity 2000, while $20 nets a free copy of Stalker: Clear Sky and $50 a free copy of Xenonauts. The offer runs for the duration of the sale, which is set to end on June 21. New deals will appear every 12 hours, which will add up to over 700 games. Today’s highlighted deals are bundle discounts for LucasArts adventure titles, D&D enhanced editions, Heroes of Might and Magic series, and the first two Stalker releases.

Fallout 4 officially announced, teaser released

Bard’s Tale IV early backers to get Wasteland 2, Witcher 1 or Witcher 2

inXile has sweetened the pot for The Bard’s Tale IV’s Kickstarter campaign by tossing in a free game. Backers who put towards the game within the first 24 hours of the campaign’s launch will receive a free copy of Wasteland 2, The Witcher, or The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings. The freebie is part of the $20 and up reward tiers, and the game will be available once the campaign ends. Wasteland 2 will be delivered via Steam or GOG.com, while both Witchers will be delivered through GOG.com. The campaign is set to kick off on June 2 at 8 a.m. (CST).
