Etrian Mystery Dungeon was just released two days ago and Atlus is already well underway in preparing Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold for release in North America. To get everyone up to speed before its summer launch, the studio has posted a new video focusing on the protagonist, the Fafnir Knight. As the bodyguard of Princess Arianna, he will not only use sword and shield to protect her life but also the power of the Fafnir to transform into a demonic version of himself to access new, more powerful skills.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to get two add-ons, to be 10-20+ hours each

Despite being an estimated 200-plus hours, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is getting even bigger with the announcement of two downloadable expansions, Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine. CD Projekt co-founder Marcin Iwinski emphasized the size of the additions by referencing the pre-DLC era, when expansions were physical releases, packed to the brim: “We remember the time when add-on disks truly expanded games by delivering meaningful content. As gamers, we’d like to bring that back.” To that end, the studio aims that each “offer more hours of gameplay than quite a few standalone games out there,” with Hearts of Stone estimated at over 10 hours long and Blood and Wine over 20 hours long.

Etrian Mystery Dungeon grabs its kit and heads out to retail, eShop

After weeks of class reveals, Atlus has released the adventurers of Etrian Mystery Dungeon to set out on their labyrinth-filled journey. The action-heavy dungeon crawler is a combination of two different styles, with the class and progression systems of Etrian Odyssey and the perspective and combat of Mystery Dungeon. Players must take a four-party band into randomly generating dungeons in order to find out what’s behind the recent increase in monster attacks. Also available today are five downloadable items that are free until May 7 as well as a .99 3DS theme. As a reminder, all launch copies come packed with a soundtrack sampler with six rough cuts, a 28-page art-and-info booklet, and a slip cover.

SMT: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker trailer details demon auctions

Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Survivor 2 Record Breaker’s demon auctions are the topic in the latest trailer from Atlus. Players can utilize fusing for acquiring new demons, but their limited number of uses means that new demons will have to be acquired primarily from an eBay-type app on their character’s phone. Demons are rated for their power and skills, and others within the game world will check the same stats and get into bidding wars with the player for the best on offer. First six screenshots released from dynamic PC RPG Zombasite

Soldak has released the first set of screenshots from their upcoming open-world role-playing game Zombasite. The shots are from an early build but give a look at the dynamic world that’s currently in development, featuring some of the environments and factions that remain after an infection has caused the dead to rise. As a clan leader, players must guide their people alone or with a friend in co-op to battle the undead while dealing with the other survivors.

Altus to localize, publish Imageepoch’s new 3DS RPG Stella Glow

Altus has announced that they will be localizing Imageepoch’s upcoming 3DS role-playing game Stella Glow. The new IP will see the two studios teaming up again, after having worked with one another on the DS RPG series Luminous Arc. Atlus currently plans on releasing Stella Glow later this year. As the young knight Alto, players must convince the witches within the Kingdom of Regnant to use their powerful songs to help him stop the Witch of Destruction, Hilda, and her army of Harbingers.

Atlus releases final, full trailer for Etrian Mystery Dungeon

A week out from release and Atlus has released the final trailer for Etrian Mystery Dungeon. It’s a quick video that gives a brief overview of the town and dungeons. But for those wanting to see more, or to catch up on recent announcements, check out the trailer and screenshot combos for the various classes: Dancer, Gunner, Hexer, Landsknecht, Medic, Ninja, Protector, Runemaster, Sovereign, and Wanderer. Atlus has detailed the extras they’ll be including with the first-run copies of Etrian Odyssey 2 Untold: The Fafnir Knight. As with their previous titles, pre-order-ers and early buyers will receive a few bonuses with the early copies, and while the items follow a familiar trend, there are a few tweaks. The set will include a 22-page art book, with concept art, character bios, and QR codes for Grimoire Stones aimed at beginners; a Rough Sketch soundtrack, which will feature early versions of the game’s music, instead of a few cuts from the final soundtrack, along with a forward by series composer Yuzo Koshiro and the game’s director Shigeo Komori; a mini-comic; and a slip-cover outer box.

FromSoftware’s latest action-RPG Bloodborne out now for PS4

FromSoftware’s follow-up to Dark Souls 2, Bloodborne, is now available for PS4. The system exclusive sports a similar tone and atmosphere to the Souls series, once again pitting players against hordes of monsters in a foreboding land filled with danger. This time, players must venture through the city of Yharnam in the midst of a deadly outbreak that has led to the streets being filled with crazed citizens and strange monsters, as well as into a constantly changing labyrinth known as the Chalice Dungeon. Combat is a bit different this time around, though, as guns can now be used, which fits nicely with the new Victorian Era theme.
