Rockstar has released another substantial update for GTA Online, Last Steam Standing. The download adds two new weapons, a heavy shotgun and marksman rifle; 30-plus themed clothing items; vehicles, including a sport bike and chopper; Creator features, and numerous gameplay tweaks, such mini-map icons indicating when players are in vehicles. Ten new Last Team Standing Jobs have also been added, scattered across Blaine County and Los Santos. The update now allows for a Forced Weapon setting to be engage, and for creators to add rounds to Captures and Last Team Standing Jobs as well as to Rockstar-created Last Team Standing, Captures, and Versus missions. Rockstar has announced that the PC, PS4, and Xbox One versions of Grand Theft Auto V will launch on November 18 for console and January 27 for PC. A host of new, exclusive content was also revealed. In addition to graphical improvements, including higher resolution and greater draw distances, there will be new activities, weapons, vehicles, foliage system, new songs (100+), and DJ mixes. There will also be more wildlife and traffic, an enhanced weather effects, and improved damage effects. PS3 and Xbox 360 owners picking up one of the new versions will also receive some extras, including new activities (e.g., wildlife photography), shooting range challenges, weapons, and rare versions of vehicles from previous entries, such as a faster, nimbler Blimp. GTA Online is also getting a player limit boost up to 30. Pre-orders will also receive $1,000,000 in in-game cash for both the single-player portion and GTA Online.
Grand Theft Auto Online received a hefty content update today, the San Andreas Flight School Update. The pack, detailed below, includes 10 new solo aerial missions, and new versus Mission Modes, as well as new races, contact missions, capture jobs, vehicles, and customization options. There are a few payout changes as well, with difficult missions now offering higher rewards and rewards now being time scaled. The update is packed with automatic update 1.16.
Rockstar is promoting the upcoming release of their Capture Creator tool for Grand Theft Auto Online with a GTA$ and RP boost. The kit will be available on April 11 and allow players to create jobs across Content, GTA, Hold, and Raid, which they can publish for others to play as well as rate and share at the Rockstar Games Social Club. From now until Friday, players who take part in any of the Capture Jobs will receive twice the amount GTA$ and RP, and to get everyone started, the studio has highlighted six jobs that players should check out.
Rockstar has detailed their future plans for Grand Theft Auto Online. Several updates are in the works, with the first due to launch next week. The first download will include Capture Creator for customizing Capture Jobs to record more movie-like scenarios, some of which will receive a stamp as Rockstar Verified. Other additions will include co-op Heists with other Crew members and mercenaries as well as the High Life Update. High Life will be packed with new jobs, the Bullpup Rifle, the Dinka Thrust motorcycle, Mental State player stat to show the mindset of nearby players, jobs, wardrobe items, and luxury apartments, along with the ability to own two properties at the same time.
Nothing says romance like weapons and rides. Rockstar Games is looking to turn Valentine’s Day a little redder with a free update to Grand Theft Auto V that adds Valentine’s Day-themed extras for both Online and Story Mode. The new content includes the Gusenberg Sweeper machine gun, found in Ammu-Nation online and in the character’s inventory in single player; the Albany Roosevelt, an armored limousine from the 1920s, found in any garage in Story and from the Legendary Motorsport in-game website in Online; new novelty hats, t-shirts, and masks, plus 1920s flapper dresses and a Flapper Bob hairstyle; and 10 new jobs found throughout Online, from cycling races to deathmatches.
Rockstar has announced that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas has launched for Android, Amazon Kindle HDX, and iOS. The mobile version sports re-mastered visuals with enhanced lighting, an expanded color palette, and touched-up character models. The Android version also supports USB and Bluetooth controllers, including the MOGA series, while iOS 7 users can take advantage of ‘Made for’ iOS controllers. All versions support Rockstar Games Social Club, which allows for stat tracking and multi-device, cross-platform saving via the cloud.
Mobile gamers will be able to hit the streets of San Andreas soon. Rockstar has announced that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas will be launching next month for select Android, Amazon Kindle, iOS, and Windows Mobile devices. The new version will feature dynamic shadows, an expanded color palette, a longer draw distance, and improved character and car models. In addition to the graphical upgrades, San Andreas will feature a reworked checkpoint system, controller support for iOS7, and new touch controls, including contextual control options to only display buttons when needed and three different control schemes.
We were going to make a joke about something called Grand Theft Auto V coming out today, but judging by the lines at the stores, it seems most people are already preoccupied. But in case you haven’t been keeping tabs, Rockstar’s latest is now available for 360 and PS3. Three protagonists share the spotlight as they plan heists, accrue piles of riches, hang glide, play golf, fly jets, and generally terrorize Los Santos and Blaine County. The countdown has also begun for Grand Theft Auto Online, the game’s multiplayer component, which is set to go live on October 1.
