We were going to make a joke about something called Grand Theft Auto V coming out today, but judging by the lines at the stores, it seems most people are already preoccupied. But in case you haven’t been keeping tabs, Rockstar’s latest is now available for 360 and PS3. Three protagonists share the spotlight as they plan heists, accrue piles of riches, hang glide, play golf, fly jets, and generally terrorize Los Santos and Blaine County. The countdown has also begun for Grand Theft Auto Online, the game’s multiplayer component, which is set to go live on October 1.
Another update has gone live for the Los Santos & Blaine County Visitors Travelogue. The Grand Theft Auto V site continues to expand with details about Los Santos’ wide array of activities and citizens. The latest from Rockstar includes info about the Los Santos Police Department, the various exercises available to residents, such as tennis and cycling, as well as what to expect from the local radio stations and the fall TV line-up. Eight new screenshots were also released.
The official trailer has launched for Grand Theft Auto V ahead of its release next month. The minute-long video introduces players to the three protagonists—Franklin, Michael, and Trevor—as they pull off heists, skydive, get into shootouts, outrun the police, and retaliate with jets. Things seem to be getting rough in Los Santos.
