Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City now available for 360, PS3
It’s time to hit the zombie-infested streets of Raccoon City once again in Capcom and Slant Six Games’ Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City. The 360, PS3 team-based shooter follows a member of the Umbrella Security Service as he attempts to destroy evidence of the t-Virus while battling zombies, bio-organic weapons, and a rival squad. A reinterpretation of Resident Evil 2 and 3, similar to The Darkside Chronicles, Operation Raccoon City includes “the return of original Resident Evil enemies, iconic landmarks, and fan favorite characters including Leon S. Kennedy.” Multiplayer is also supported, with eight players signing up as Umbrella security or US Spec Ops and battling it out in various versus modes.

Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City to get free DLC in April
Capcom will be extending your stay in Raccoon City a bit longer with free DLC for the upcoming Resident Evil Operation Raccoon City. Beginning April 10, zombie fighters stationed in North America will be able to redeploy into Raccoon City as a member of a Spec Ops team in search of the source of the virus outbreak. The team will face off against zombies, mutants, as well as members of the Umbrella Security Service in a storyline that takes place between Resident Evil 2 and Resident Evil 3.

Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection announced for PS3
Capcom will be getting in on some Move action shortly with the announcement of Resident Evil: Chronicles HD Collection for the PlayStation 3. The download-only pack, which will include the previously Wii-only titles Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles and Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles, is set to launch on the PS Store this June. In addition to Move compatibility, both titles will also sport improved graphics and support for standard controllers.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City 360 gets Nemesis launch DLC
Xbox 360 owners looking forward to Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City will need to set aside some MS Points for an extra online mode. Capcom has announced that Nemesis Mode, an eight-player competitive mode that pits Umbrella Security Service squads against Spec Ops forces, will be available on launch day as a 360 exclusive. The big twist: the team that holds the control unit gets to control Nemesis. Slaughtering opponents with a massive mutated cyborg of your very own will cost 320 MS Points.

Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City dated, detailed for PC
PC gamers feeling left out of the recent Resident Evil action should be happy to hear that Capcom has confirmed May 18 as the official launch date of Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City. The PC version will include support for Nvidia 3D Vision, enhanced visuals, and in addition to all of the features of the console version, the ability to play in an online eight-player team-based verses mode and four-player campaign mode.

Resident Evil Revelations available for 3DS
The 3DS receives another entry in the Resident Evil franchise today with the throwback Resident Evil Revelations. Featuring an episodic design, players will investigate the abandoned Queen Zenobia cruise ship, as well as the floating city of Terragrigia. Told from the perspective of four different playable characters, the 3D journey will see series’ stalwarts Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, along with their new partners, Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat, investigating the mysterious Veltro terrorist group. To help even out the odds, the crew will have access to a powerful new item known as the Genesis Scanner. With the scanner, players will be able to scan objects to increase their health, discover secrets, and customize weapons through in-game workbenches.

Resident Evil 6 announced for 360, PC, and PS3
Ten years have passed since the outbreak in Raccoon City. Just as the President of the US is about to publicly reveal what happened to the town and its citizens, he himself is infected. And thus opens Resident Evil 6, the latest in the long-running survival-horror series that is set to launch on the 360, PC, and PS3 next November. Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield will team up to tackle a deadly new outbreak that spans the globe, from the US to China, in a bid to end a series of deadly bioterrorist attacks.

Resident Evil Revelations dated, pre-order bonus revealed
The Resident Evil universe will be expanding next year with Resident Evil Revelations for the 3DS. Featuring a new storyline, characters, and locations, the February 7 release will explore the period between Resident Evil 4 and 5. The story follows Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield as they search for intel on the Veltro terrorists with newcomers Parker Luciani and Jessica Sherawat of the BSAA.

Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition to be available on PSN next month
Capcom will not rest until every Resident Evil has been made available for download over Live Games on Demand and PSN. Following the release of enhanced versions of Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil Code: Veronica X, Capcom has announced that Resident Evil 5: Gold Edition, which includes the base game and two DLC episodes (Desperate Escape and Lost In Nightmares), will be available on October 4 on PSN for $29.99.

Resident Evil Code: Veronica X revamped and released for 360, PS3
Following hot on the heels of the Resident Evil 4 HD rerelease last week, Capcom has launched an updated version of Resident Evil Code: Veronica X on Live Games on Demand and PSN. Like Resident Evil 4, Code Veronica will support trophies and achievements as well as sport updated—dare I say, high definition—visuals.
