Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2 crossover update coming this spring
Capcom is known to enjoy a good crossover, whether it’s pitting the Street Fighter cast against Tekken’s or having them face the wrath of Mega Man. With their recent announcement, Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2, they’ve moved beyond Ryu and company and embraced their undead side. The crossover will bring all four members of Left 4 Dead 2’s cast, as well as the Witch and Mini Tank monsters, into Resident Evil 6’s The Mercenaries No Mercy mode. On the flip side, Resident Evil 6’s Lepotitsas, Napads, and Ogromans will invade Left 4 Dead 2.

Resident Evil 6 getting Siege Mode in March, new mode for PC
Capcom has announced that the PC version of Resident Evil 6 will include a tweaked version of Mercenaries, The Mercenaries: No Mercy. No Mercy will provide for a more difficult experience by having not only more enemies to contend with overall but also more on-screen than before. It was also announced that console owners will be receiving the fourth downloadable mode, Siege Mode, in March for $3.99/320 MS Points. In Siege, two to six players will split into two teams with one side attempting to destroy a rookie BSAA agent and the other attempting to save him. Each game lasts two rounds with each team getting a chance to save or take down the rookie.

Resident Evil 6 title update, Live-first DLC release dates announced
Resident Evil 6 will be seeing its first round of DLC soon when Predator, Survivors, and Onslaught launch on Live Marketplace on December 18. Each pack is priced at 320 MS Points or as a bundle for 720 MS Points. The drops, detailed below, will be preceded by a title update on December 17. The update will unlock Ada Wong’s campaign, allow players to adjust the camera, add the No Hope difficulty level, and allow players to mix and match voice over and subtitle options.

Resident Evil 6 now available for 360, PS3
Infected … undead … at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that there are enough rounds in the chamber. And with Resident Evil 6, you will need plenty of ammo. Available today for 360 and PS3, the interwoven storyline of the series’ sixth major entry features four different campaigns spread throughout North America, China, and Eastern Europe that follow seven characters as they battle a new outbreak of the C-virus. Oh, and apparently there are massive translucent snakes. Be sure to watch out for those.

Resident Evil 6 to get day-one DLC, upcoming packs announced
Capcom has revealed some of their upcoming plans to expand Resident Evil 6′s post-launch lifecycle with day-one and post-launch multiplayer-centric downloadable content. Three packs were announced as launching alongside the game on October 2: Predator Mode, Siege Mode, and Survivors Mode. Further drops will include new items and new maps for Mercenaries as well as all of the new modes.

Resident Evil 6 footage, shots show off Agent Hunt mode, Ada Wong
Capcom has a released a new trailer showing off some footage from two new modes, the separate Ada Wong campaign and the Agent Hunt mode. Ada’s side quest will be accessible once the main storyline with Chris, Leon, and Jake has been completed, and will include missions that feature her adventures during the outbreak. Agent Hunt, an optional online mode, also features an unlock mechanism, with certain stages becoming available once they are cleared during the three main characters’ various campaigns. As J’avo or another C-virus mutant, players will be able to run wild in other players’ games (a la Demon’s Souls) with the aim of taking out all of the human characters.

Comic-Con ’12: Capcom – Resident Evil 6 trailer
Capcom has posted a new trailer for Resident Evil 6 that was debuted at Comic-Con last week. The video includes footage from a handful of missions, each headed by one of the game’s leading characters—Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Jake Muller.

Resident Evil 6 demo available for Xbox 360 Dragon’s Dogma owners
Xbox 360 owners who snagged a copy of the fantastic Dragon’s Dogma can now download a demo of Resident Evil 6. Available on Live Marketplace, the demo includes three missions from the game’s three different campaigns, with players getting a chance to control Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Jake Muller. The missions take place on the zombie-filled campus of Ivy University, on the rooftops of Lanshiang in China, and throughout the Eastern European nation of Edonia.

E3 2012 – Capcom: DmC, Lost Planet 3, Resident Evil 6, SF X Tekken
Capcom’s major announcements—Resident Evil 6, Street Fighter 25th Anniversary Collector’s Set—were all made well before E3. However, they still had plenty to show with new shots of DmC Devil May Cry, Lost Planet 3, Resident Evil 6, and Street Fighter X Tekken for Vita.

Resident Evil 6 announced for 360, PC, and PS3
Ten years have passed since the outbreak in Raccoon City. Just as the President of the US is about to publicly reveal what happened to the town and its citizens, he himself is infected. And thus opens Resident Evil 6, the latest in the long-running survival-horror series that is set to launch on the 360, PC, and PS3 next November. Leon Kennedy and Chris Redfield will team up to tackle a deadly new outbreak that spans the globe, from the US to China, in a bid to end a series of deadly bioterrorist attacks.
