Taito-themed DLC now available for Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours

Degica has announced that their Taito-themed DLC for Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours has gone live on Steam and PSN. Additionally, the Sega-themed packs are scheduled to launch on April 7. The Taito pack includes craft, remixed music, and levels from three different titles: Metal Black, Night Striker, and RayForce. The Sega pack will also feature craft, remixed music, and levels from three different games: Fantasy Star, Galaxy Force II, and Space Harrier. Note that downloadable ships are only playable in downloadable levels. The Taito drops are priced at $4.99 each or $11.99 for a bundle of all three.

Degica has announced a new trio of downloadable content add-ons for Dariusburst Chronicle Saviours. In addition to the three previously announced Taito-themed packs, the studio has revealed that three more will be added for various Sega shooters. The Sega set will include ships, levels, and remixed music based on Fantasy Zone, Galaxy Force II, and Space Harrier. The Taito packs, based on Metal Black, Night Striker, and RayForce, is scheduled to go live on March 17. The packs will be available individually for $4.99 or as three-pack bundles for $11.99. Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours getting Taitor shooter tie-in DLC

Degica has detailed their DLC plans for Dariusburst: Chronicle Saviours. On January 14, the PC version will receive the Darius Odyssey art book, previously exclusive to PS4, for $14.99 and as part of a combo with the base game for $59.99. Also set to be available on the same day for all versions are three themed packs based on Taito titles: Night Striker, Metal Black, and RayForce. Each pack will come with a new ship and remixed music from the associated title as well as unique levels. Note that the DLC ships are only usable in downloadable levels, though the base game ships are transferable to the new stages, and that the new levels are playable in CS mode with 16:9 aspect ratio.

RayForce now available on App Store

Taito and Square Enix have released the top-down shooter RayForce on the App Store for the iPhone and iPod touch. Originally released as Galactic Attack on the Sega Saturn back in 1995, RayForce is the first in the Ray series, with RayStorm released in 1996 and RayCrisis in 1998. The iOS version is going for $11.99 and features a number of handheld tweaks, including sliding gestures for controls and options to play in the original arcade aspect ratio as well as to enable automatic firing for button-free play. Game Center is also supported.
