It’s time for rally fans to hit the track again with the release of Dirt 4. The PC and console racer is attempting to broaden its base with two handling modes, Gamer and Simulation. I’d go for the former. No shame in admitting that. Additional assistance can be found in an in-game Academy that teaches players the finer points of the system’s mechanics. Dirt 4 also features Your Stage, which is said to “produce a near infinite number of unique rally stages at the touch of a button.”

Forza Horizon 3 – Hot Wheels to be available on May 9

Forza Horizon 3’s second downloadable expansion, Hot Wheels, is scheduled to go live on May 9. The add-on will expand the world with six new themed islands, described as “a place where lazy Sunday drives are replaced by insane high-speed stunts on miles of looping, banking, giant iconic orange Hot Wheels tracks.” There are even a few giant mechanical dinosaurs. A new Stunt Swap feature also allows players to modify stunt track sections to share with friends. Ten Hot Wheels will be added to tackle the courses, including Twin Mill, Rip Rod, and Bone Shaker. A debut livestream, with special guests and first-look gameplay, is scheduled for May 8 at noon over at Beam.pro.

Forza Horizon 3 – Duracell Car Pack, free ride going live tomorrow

Forza Horizon 3 is getting seven additional rides tomorrow in the Duracell Car Pack. The final Car Pass download will add the 2017 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, 2015 Jaguar XES, 1992 Ford Falcon GT, 1983 Volvo 242 Turbo Evolution, 1995 Nissan Nismo GT-R LM, 1959 BMW 507, and 1972 Land Rover Series III. There’s also a bonus: the Duracell-themed 2016 GTA Spano. The freebie is available for all players, and can be downloaded from the Xbox Store under “Forza Horizon 3 GTA Spano.” Details for all of the vehicles can be found below.

Dirt Rally download pack adds VR support, Co-Driver Mode for PS4

Codemasters has released a for-pay pack adding PSVR support to the PS4 version of Dirt Rally. The $12.99 download pack not only allows for the entire game to be played with the virtual reality headset, but it also introduces the new Co-Driver Mode. By choosing the mode, a second player is capable of giving pace note calls via the controller and the social screen.

Playseat Car Pack releasing tomorrow for Forza Horizon 3

Forza Horizon 3 will be getting a new set of downloadable rides tomorrow with the Playseat Car Pack. Seven vehicles will be added to the game’s ever-expanding garage: the 1990 Renault Alpine GTA Le Mans, 2016 Cadillac ATS-V, 2017 Aston Martin DB11, 2016 Vauxhall Corsa VXR, 1970 Honda S800, 2016 Honda Civic Type R, and Pete Brock’s 1985 HDT VK Commodore Group A. Forza Horizon 3 – Rockstar Car Pack launches for PC, Xbox One

Turn 10 and Playground are ringing in the new year with a new set of rides for Forza Horizon 3. The seven-car Rockstar Car Pack includes the debut of the BMW i8 along with a wide range of additions from a Ford trophy truck to a Volve supercar. The seven include the 2015 BMW i8, 2015 Volvo V60 Polestar, 2015 Radical RXC Turbo, 1972 Ford Falcon XA GT-HO, 1987 Nissan Skyline GTS-R (R31), 2014 Ford #11 Rockstar F-150 Trophy Truck, and the 2016 Bentley Bentayga. Blizzard Mountain Expansion released for Forza Horizon 3

Blizzard Mountain Expansion has gone live for Forza Horizon 3. Blizzard Mountain adds a new high-terrain area to Australia, along with extra events, challenges, and a new campaign. For the first time, players have to contend with snow, heavy wind, and sunlight reflecting off of ice. Seven rides are included to tackle the new environment: 2016 Ford Gymkhana 9 Focus RS RX, 1965 Ford F-100 Flareside Abatti Racing Trophy Truck, 1975 Lancia Stratos HF Group 4, 1985 Lancia Delta S4 Group B, 2016 Nissan Titan Warrior Concept, 2016 RJ Anderson #37 Polaris RZR-Rockstar Energy Pro 2 Truck, and 2016 Subaru #199 WRX STI VT15r Rally Car. MS is hosting a day-long stream to celebrate the release at the official Forza Beam channel, with presenters showing off the latest additions and answering questions.

Forza Horizon 3 – Blizzard Mountain detailed, going live December 13

Playground has released new details about Forza Horizon 3’s first add-on, Blizzard Mountain Expansion. Scheduled to launch on December 13, the pack will introduce several elements to the series, including blizzards, ice, snow, and high-altitude courses. Players will compete in a 50-plus-event campaign set around Blizzard Mountain to be crowned King of the Mountain. Several of which will involve new race types, including Descent and Hill Climb, while series staples return, such as Blueprints, Bucket Lists, and Rivals. A new set of rides has been added to Forza Horizon 3 with the release of Alpinestars Car Pack. The $6.99 drop adds seven vehicles: the 2017 Acura NSX, 1998 Nissan Silvia K, 1990 Mazda Savannah RX-7, 1967 Ford Falcon XR GT, 2016 Dodge Viper ACR, 2016 BMW M4 GTS, and the 1979 Talbot Lotus Sunbeam. Forza Racing Championship – Season 2 detailed, kicks off in Horizon

Turn 10 Studios has opened registration for Season 2 of the Forza Racing Championship. Racers can head to the ESL website to sign up for their spot. The upcoming series is sponsored by Michelin, Logitech G, and Playseat, with cash and prizes of over $150,000. The second season also marks the first time that two Forza games will be involved, Forza Horizon 3 and Forza Motorsport 6. Players can join two different leagues, Elite Series and Recreation Series. The Elite Series will take place over three weeks beginning November 13, and award the top Forza Motorsport 6 racer $10,000 in cash. The Grand Finals will be streamed on the official Forza Twitch and Beam channels on Sunday, December 11. Beginning today, the Recreation Series begins in Forza Horizon 3 and will run for the next seven weeks, with players tackling the special ForzaRC Rivals events. Players can win exclusive cars just for participating, including the 2017 Ford GT Horizon Edition.
