Square Enix has released a new hidden-object puzzler for iOS today, Victorian Mysteries: Woman in White. The second release in the Victorian Mysteries series, Woman in White is available for $0.99 (iPhone/iPod touch) and $2.99 (iPad HD). To celebrate the launch, Square Enix is offering the first release, The Moonstone, for free until next Monday 7.

Crush3D now available at GameStop

Sega’s GameStop-exclusive puzzle-platformer Crush3D has launched for the 3DS. Expanding on the original Crush, the latest version includes new locations, characters, and hint system. As Danny, players will have to navigate their mind by crushing platforms from 2D to 3D and back, in order to bypass obstacles and battle enemies. New features for the 3DS include 3D graphics and StreetPass support, which will allow players to exchange gifts with others as well as earn Gift Points to access new bonuses.



Stacking headed to PC, complete with free DLC

Double Fine Productions’ Stacking, the quirky adventure-puzzler set in the world of living Russian dolls, is preparing to make the leap from console to PC next year. Set to launch in the spring, Stacking will be available on Steam for $14.99 as a bundle that includes The Last Hobo King free DLC add-on.

Rochard heading to PC

Recoil Games’ gravity-defying side-scroller Rochard will be ported to the PC later this month. After debuting on the PS Network, Rochard will launch on Steam on November 15 for $9.99. The hybrid action-puzzler stars John Rochard, an astro-miner on a quest to rescue his friends and unravel an intergalactic mystery.

James Noir’s Hollywood Crimes now available for 3DS

James Noir’s Hollywood Crimes has hit store shelves for the Nintendo 3DS. The $39.99 puzzler is an interactive 3D movie with a 1960s motif that has players starring as the main character in a TV game show that is leaving dead participants in its wake. Over 140 puzzles will be left at the crime scenes, ranging from wordplay to drawing, and need to be solved in order to uncover the killer’s identity.

Sony Online has launched Recoil Games’ Rochard, a “puzzle-platforming, astro-mining action adventure.” Voiced by Jon St. John, Duke Nukem himself, John Rochard is an astro miner who stumbles upon an ancient alien artifact while prospecting in an asteroid. Shortly after the discovery, his team is kidnapped by space pirates and must be rescued using the only tool he has, the gravity-defying G-Lifter.

Super Monkey Ball will be making its way back to gaming next year. Sega has announced that a new entry into the series, currently going under the work-in-progress title Super Monkey Ball, will ship for the PlayStation Vita sometime in early 2012. AiAi, MeeMee, and GonGon are slated to return, and their bubble-rolling ways will be wrangled via motion controls as well as the Vita’s front- and back-touch panels and dual analog sticks.

Knight Pontius, thief Zoya, and wizard Amadeus are returning for some more side-scrolling puzzle-platforming action later this year when Trine 2 ships to retail and launches online for Mac and PC. The trio will again brave deadly traps and equally dangerous monsters as they quest about in search of loot and adventure. The campaign will be playable with up to three players with support for both online or offline co-op play.
